« I feel bad giving this review as it seems like a family is trying to run this place and they were very nice but in way over their heads. Our room smelled terrible including the bathroom smelling like urine. The owner was very accommodating and switched rooms. The place had a dank smell, areas smelled like cigarettes, and hallways needed to be vacuumed. « Not that it was a bad issue but the pool was being remodeled and was closed. So my wife decided to use the jet tub in the king suite. The jets did not work and black flaky stuff came out of the tubes. Overall it was a great stay and the staff was great. I cannot remember her name, but she was the hostess/waitress in the restaurant for breakfast and she was great! Very kind and helpful! Appreciated that very much. »

« The grounds are very pleasant. I needed to change original room due to very strong musty smell as well as super strong varnish odor. Owners were very quick to offer another room. So I do feel satisfied with that. Not the cleanest but was very affordable compared to other places in the area. I guess I got what I paid for. But I wouldn’t stay again. »

« Way too hot in the hotel (81 degrees on the thermostat in the breakfast room). Staff walking around barefoot, room not well cleaned (hair in the corners on bathroom floor upon arrival, dirty looking tub, missed some obvious things when vacuuming). « Staff and pool area as gym~ are excellent! 💗As well as the bar, music on Wednesday, and the bartenders are amazing! »

« All sites indicate there is a hot tub, however, there is not. Apparently has been closed for awhile, filled up with cement with a rusty dusty pool table on top. There was a man that kept his room door open a few doors down and smelled up the entire motel. When I tell you it smelled like a crappy old folks home I am not exaggerating. I highly doubt there was any chlorine in the pool as there was no chlorine smell. Very very disgusting place. »

« We were in Thorp visiting relatives in the area. We were thrilled to find this house so we didn’t have to stay at the local hotel. The house is adorable, clean, and a lovely retreat if you are in the area. I hope to stay here again next year when I am visiting family. »
