The hotel is conveniently located on the waterfront and close to local shops restaurants and attractions. The room was spacious and clean. They provided water and muffins daily too. While not directly about the hotel, many of the Cobh pubs don't serve food.

Lovely big room and comfortable bed. Newly renovated bathroom with rain shower. Complementary water and snacks were a nice touch. Great smart TV and wonderful views over the sea. My only issue was arrival. We arrived on a holiday Monday and there was zero parking outside to go in and register. I pulled into the car park but there was no apparent intercom to get let in so I had to reverse out, drop my wife and circle for 15 mins. Bad start but after that our stay was excellent.

Great room, restaurant is not very good. We had a dinner and breakfast with the hotel and the food was just okay. Otherwise pleasant stay. Parking was not an enjoyable experience, we had to find street parking because the hotel booked up their parking for hotel guests.

Had a very pleasant stay here for one night. Lovely large room, spotless and quiet. Very nice, friendly and attentive staff. Great value for money and will certainly return.

It’s old but charming and in a great location but the bed is done for!! It’s so sloped and bent we had to sleep with our head the opposite end to stop the blood rushing to our heads. Staff was great and super friendly but it’s time for some new beds it was horrible.

Hotel is old and has great character which we loved. Room amenities were sufficient but we would have liked having face cloths. View was spectacular. Hotel parking was convenient but in high season the parking lot would be very hard to navigate due to the small size. The hotel’s location was phenomenal! Everything right outside the door. Loved everything about our stay in Cobh. Would choose the Commodore again.

Noise level
I understand the hotel is an old building on the water. So the condition of the building and room was great considering. The renovations to the bathroom is great and the little duckie was my favorite! Everything with the room was just fine. I wish there was a mini fridge for our items, but we made do. The only issue is how extremely loud the other floors were and the outside street noise. I heard every squeak of the floor boards from the upstairs room, everyone in the hallways, and everyone enjoying themselves outside. I don’t think I would have been as annoyed if I hadn’t just got off a red eye flight and hadn’t slept in 24 hours. I would suggest you skip this hotel if you’re a light sleeper or request a room on the upper floors, maybe facing away from the street.

Perfect Stay in Cobh
This hotel was wonderful. The room was great and we had a beautiful water view. The front desk check in was great and dinner at the pub was one of the best meals of my life. The hotel is beautiful and full of history. Thank you for taking such good care of it.

I nice but old hotel. It was having some renovation work during our stay. Whilst old, it is perfectly located and I would stay here again and maybe pay for a room with a seaview. Cobh is a quaint little place in Cork and really enjoyed our stay.

Historic, but a little tired. Would go again.
Room was at the rear, bathroom in great condition, room less so, bed a bit bouncy, with the floor creamy and not level. Reception very pleasant, but dining space very limited. For some reason the hotel only uses a small bar for dining rather than the main dining room, consequently could not feed us in the evening. Sadly lack of space for breakfast left us next to an unfortunate noisy family so we didn't take breakfast either. However would happily stay there again. Architecturally the hotel is elegant and in the days around the Titanic etc was probably prestigious. Faded glory. The views from rooms at the front must be great.

The hotel have made some great upgrades but I still maintain not offering a bed and breakfast inclusive price is mean spirited. The only other complaint I have is that when dining in the front bar we were annoyed constantly by little black flies. When I complained I received a somewhat dismissive apology.
