Pleasant stay- great free/secure parking area
Good 3-star hotel, convenient & large free parking area behind gate. Clean but basic room. Walking distance to hotel, supermarket & restaurants nearby. Brilliant meal & drink at the Chez Le Brasseur, highly recommend. Breakfast at the hotel was average but in keeping with most hotels in France.

Ace Hotel
This is a nice hotel to stay even for fee days. Good clean rooms, minimal breakfast and good coffee. Reception ladies are really polite and helpful. A very good place to split your travels to and from Spain. I would stay again. Thank you!

This hotel was perfect for our needs. We were on the road and needed an inexpensive place to stay the night. Friendly staff, easy to access location, several restaurants within walking distance, comfortable beds, clean rooms, free parking, and breakfast for just 7 Euros each.

Great hotel, always stay here en route and back from England and Spain. Great service and especially great for dogs. Only gripe, square pillows, would prefer the rectangular type!

Handy hotel situated in the outskirts of Clermont Ferrand, 1 minute from the highway exit so you would need a car to stay there. Clean and comfy room. Staff very friendly.

Clean, nice staff. However, a little noisy if you want the window open. We were quite near the road in our room. Stayed here a few times and haven’t had this problem before. Air con appeared not to be working on cold (too early in the season??)

We're on extended travel vacation in France and selected this hotel because of it's pricing. We were very happy with the price. Grocery store is right next door and many restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Motorway closeby for easy access. Additional shopping within a 5 minute drive. Staff was very friendly. Room was a good value for the price.

Not the usual standards.
We have stayed at several ACE hotels and this was possibly the most disappointing. Bathroom wasn't to usual high standards, mould was evident in the shower and a dirty towel was still hanging on the hook. Breakfast okay but no French Bread sticks just some very crisp rolls. Sliced bread for toast was sweet tasting and the water for boiling eggs hadn't been switched on. Minor points but may mean standards are slipping?

Great Stopover in a Budget Hotel
Stayed here whilst driving from North to South France. Hotel was a bit difficult to find as is wasnt where our satnav said it was but we stopped at another hotel and were given directions to it. Upon arrival the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were a bit old fashioned but everything worked and again were spotlessly clean. Didnt hear any other guests whilst in the rooms so they must be well soundproofed. Bed was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - plenty of choice and fresh food. Thankyou Ace Hotel!

Overnight rest with dogs driving from UK & Spain
We chose the hotel because it was dog friendly, approximately half way between home and our destination and just off the main road (A75/E11). We had already informed the hotel that we would arrive around midnight and that was acceptable. The chap on reception was friendly enough, the room was comfortable and spacious - plenty of room for our two Border Collie girls. Because we arrived late, we came down late the next day for breakfast and although it was around 30 mins till the end of breakfast, there was little food left and no-one seemed interested in providing more, so that was disappointing (and the morning staff did not seem as friendly as the night staff). Overall it was a very reasonably priced hotel for an overnight, with a 6 euro charge per dog.

Used hotel for overnight stop on journey south - very convenient for the motorway and easy to find. Rooms are basic but have all you need. Breakfast had reasonable choice and was good value at 6€.

Chose this as it was close to the A 75 on way through to Spain. Lots of eating places on the doorstep and next to a Lidl which was useful. Minute pillows on the bed a bit uncomfortable but WiFi worked fine, easy parking and good rate.

Ace hotel is likely the nicest of the budget hotels I've stayed at during my motorcycle tri across France. Very clean and modern looking, with a nice continental breakfast. Only downside is that wifi is only available in the common area. I would definitely recommend it.

Top hotel in Clermont Ferrand
Stayed on way to and from Spain. Price was very reasonable. Beds were heaven. Air con in all rooms, needed to be on when temp was 34 degrees outside! Breakfast was spot on. Next door to an Irish bar and Lidl so plenty of food and drink on offer. Straight on and off motorway, so easy access. Will definately use again.

Recmmended, with a couple of caveats
Overall the hotel we were very satisfied with this hotel. The location is just off the A75, the staff are polite and professional, the rooms are clean; well presented, and decently enough sized. However as a Brit I would've liked to have seen a kettle in the room for that late night cuppa! Something I've only ever found in one hotel in France :-( Also, somewhere between us searching for rooms, selecting the hotel for viewing, and making the booking, the price increased by 10€, something we only noticed when we arrived to book in! Naughty.
