"We were a late check in so did not see any staff. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, the TV remote was dead due to batteries, there is no cell in the area and we were not given the WiFi password. The bed was comfortable but we only had three pillows….. "

It must be said that a younger traveller will probably be more comfortable with the low-touch approach (text check in, code-locked doors), but they've clearly made an effort to be more accessible to a traveler looking for something more traditional.
