The charming motel was perfect for our last-minute trip to enjoy the foliage at Mt. Greylock. They served spiked apple cider, a wide selection of local beers, and canned seltzer at their bar. We went to a cozy old-fashioned restaurant just 10 minutes away for dinner. They also offer a fire pit with wood and s'mores at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, we were too tired to enjoy it after our hike, but the motel offers guests a great perk. We were right between Williamstown and Pittsfield, which was right where we wanted to be to see shows and museums. The decor is charming. Second time staying at the Springs under it's new ownership and was pleasantly delighted to see the vibe was intact from the previous renovation. I love the roadside motel feel, only wish I could park right outside my door. It was too cold to enjoy the pool and it rained so couldn't enjoy the outdoor spaces but love the amenities. The new owner Brian was so nice to chat with. He was super accommodating when we noticed a leak in our room, he immediately moved us to another room. It’s clean and comfortable and so retro. It reminded me so much of when I was a child traveling with my family and the places we were pulling into overnight. This is a perfect place for a little family to stop With chairs for relaxation and a yard for the kids to play in. Check-in was real easy. we arrived late but the young man at the front desk knew we were coming so he waited for us just so we could get ice since the machine was in the lobby, which was about to be locked up. We really appreciated that extra act of kindness. I would advise you to eat before you get to this motel as you will not find many choices for miles up the road. We went in search of dinner and finally just picked up some fried chicken at the Stop & Shop and brought it back to the room. Loved the pool. Staff was super nice. You do have to seek them out though. The rooms weee functional and comfortable. Bed linens could use a little upgrade. Everything seemed a little damp in the room. A major improvement would be a walkway to the rooms so you dont have to cut across the grass.
