"We had such a wonderful week at this lake house leading up to the Fourth of July! It was the perfect getaway for our family—my husband, our two children (both under 10), and our dog.The property was exactly as described and sits right on Great Pond. One of our favorite features was the shallow water directly in front of the house, which made it incredibly easy and safe for the kids to swim and play. We also loved the outdoor seating area by the fire pit, where we spent many peaceful evenings relaxing by the lake.We rented a pontoon boat for the week, which was a fantastic way to explore the lake and made our stay even more memorable.The house itself was clean, cozy, and perfectly accommodated our family. It was exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed for the entire week, and having all of the towels and linens provided was such a convenience—we didn't have to pack any from home.There were a few ants in the kitchen, but it didn't bother us. It's a lake house in the woods, so that's to be expected, and there were ant traps available that kept the issue under control.We didn’t need to contact the hosts during our stay because everything was so thoughtfully prepared. The communication we did have before arriving was prompt, friendly, and very easy.Overall, we had an incredibly peaceful week enjoying the serenity of Great Pond, the beautiful natural surroundings of the Belgrade Lakes region, and quality family time together.
