Welcome to the Bacon Building! Where modern meets 1930. Relax in this 1 bedroom studio in a newly remodeled 1930's apartment building located in downtown Chillicothe! Just a few steps to quaint shops and restaurants, stroll along the Illinois river, or check out the retro movie theatre. 25 minutes to downtown Peoria's Civic Center or an 18 minute drive to Grand View Drive in historic Peoria Heights where you'll find more attractions and places to eat!
The space
Super clean,1 bed studio apartment in a 5 unit historical building. Space includes a full bathroom and kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Help yourself to a variety of coffees, juice, water, snacks, breakfast bars and oatmeal. A dresser and closet allow ou to unpack and make yourself at home. Included is a wall mounted table for dining or work purposes. A large smart TV provides entertainment.
Other things to note
Apartment is located on the 2nd floor. There is NOT an elevator.
Self check-in and entry using the keypad. Codes are changed between guests and will be sent to you the morning of your arrival.
*If you would like to book last minute, please send a message to check for availibility.
*free on street parking just outside the main door.

Great property and easy check-in/out process. I was in town for my HS reunion and this place worked out perfectly. Everything was top quality from the room, amenities, communication, etc. I love that the owners have renovated and repurposed a historic building, giving it new life. I highly recommend this property if you are staying in Chillicothe.

Everything was great! Location was perfect, right downtown near cute shops, bars and even a movie theater. A short drive to Peoria area restaurants and attractions. Very easy to find and no hassle checking in, extremely clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, had access to laundry facilities, exercise room was neat n clean, and the added accessories—that you would not find in a hotel—were a pleasant surprise. The ease of getting in touch with the hosts was a plus. When in the area again we will be sure look them up!!! An elevator would have been nice, but I handled the small amount of steps to get to the second floor.

Beautiful and safe

I was looking for a place to stay close to Cutright Park and couldn't have found a nicer apartment or location. We felt really safe as the Bacon Building is right across the street from the police station. Our apartment was very nice, a beautiful mix of historic and modern. We didn't have time to explore the historic downtown but will do so in the future.
