This time my wife and I stayed in The White Elephant Home for two nights. The location is great, very close to old city, only several minutes’ walk. I prefer to stay outside the old city for quiet, clean and comfortable neighbourhood. We booked a room for two and they upgraded us to a family room for three. The room is spacious, new and clean with a lovely balcony. The interior and exterior match the photos and description on the website. Breakfast is freshly cooked and is delicious. We enjoyed it in the lovely garden. The staffs are nice and helpful, they have friendly smiles all the time. They speak good English and provided useful information to us in buying Green bus ticket to Chiang Rai. I didn't drive this time but I saw them providing car covers to guests and helped to cover and to remove it. Will definitely stay in The White Elephant Home again if we visit Chiang Mai again. The inside is modern and comfortable. Yet, it's bit noisy for the motorbike sound as it's nearest to the road. Poor sleep for I'm sensitive to noise. It's better to choose the cheaper family room which is quieter inside. Not worth for the villa. Breakfast was really nice. The hotel is small which gives it a very relaxed atmosphere. Location is very good just a 5 min walk away from the north gate of Chang mai center. This is also where the local bus service drops you off which we used to get to and from the airport for only 20 bat each.
