The Hotel Chalet at The Choo Choo

"We were generally very pleased with our room, spacious, clean and well appointed. The beds were large and comfortable and the shower was probably the most powerful we have ever used Our room was situated next to the busy reception area and foyer – upon reflection we likely would have preferred a more distant room but ultimately we enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Simply by reason of the room’s location at ground and decorated with darker colours we could not always choose daylight and would have appreciated a brighter electric light option In fairness, the excellent Reception staff did regularly enquire if we were comfortable and indeed we were. In fact, we enjoyed genuinely friendly interaction with the Receptionists, notably Trina, whose helpful suggestions contributed towards our holiday plans We didn’t have opportunity to take advantage of all the hotel’s amenities, e.g. the fitness centre and swimming pool bit we certainly enjoyed a couple of nightcaps at Elsie’s Daughter and in the very comfortable outdoor seating area adjacent the quirky Caboose bar"

"My experience staying at the hotel has been excellent every time. The entire staff is friendly, professional and they deliver superior customer service. The rooms are always clean and neat. There’s only one thing that needs to change. The carpets that surround the bed and possibly are under the bed need to be replaced. They are worn out and old."

"we had such a bad experience before we got here so I may be biased but I fell in love. It's definitely a 70's motel redone but it was so freaking cute. The pillows were not my fav but I am a pillow snob. The toilet was meant to be in a gas station, it was so powerful and like a commercial toilet. Not complaining just being honest."
