"Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit, courant mars. Le gîte est fonctionnel et, une fois le chauffage mis, agréable. Il est très bien situé, à la fois sur la route vers Vezelay et pourtant au calme. Il est clair qu'il y a beaucoup de choses que nous aurions pu faire si nous n'avions pas été sur une simple étape. Nos hôtes étaient très accueillants. Comme certains l'ont dit, gîte rustique. Correspond bien à l'ambiance du coin : nous sommes à la campagne!"

"We just came back from an amazingly relaxing few days in Philippe's little gem. The host is super nice and friendly, very patient with my limited french skills. The retreat is one of a kind. It is as quiet as it gets. The only sound one hears are the birds and the wind in the trees. We had never experienced anything like that and will be back for sure. It was the most relaxing vacation! "We booked this hotel last minute and arrived around 10 PM. The owner and his family were very friendly. The hotel is close to A6 Highway, which was convenient. Although the hotel isn't large, we noticed the restaurant was bustling with guests enjoying their meals when we arrived. Unfortunately, we had already eaten, but we definitely wish we could have tried their Indian cuisine! The room was simple yet elegant. While there was no air conditioning, the room was pleasantly cool, and we didn't even need to use the fan provided. Considering the price, this hotel offers exceptional value for money. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay!"

"This hotel worked for us in that it was roughly halfway on our journey to the south of France. The staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in. The hotel itself is quite tired and needs some modernisation. Restaurant was not open the evening we were there but the Local town of Avallon had plenty of pleasant restaurants available. "
