This was an amazing hotel and was almost perfect. The pillows and mattress were not up the same standard as the rest of the hotel. If we start again, we’ll bring our own pillows.
First, the hotel is nice and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. We loved it. However there were 2 things that kept me from rating my stay higher.
First, the hotel is listed as having a fitness facility. However there is not. As a guest you can use the gym at MUSC, a local college that is 30 minutes on foot, 10 by car away. They will shuttle you over for free. However, we went on a Saturday. It was 7:30 and we didn’t realize the gym didn’t open until 9 am until after we were dropped off. So we got some extra steps in by walking back. I feel that it should be disclosed that the gym is offsite and I feel like the staff should know the hours it’s available.
Secondly, there is only 2 elevators and one of them is being repaired so wait times were extra long. We took the steps Hal’s the time a cause the wait was too long. I feel that information about elevator repairs should also be disclosed. What if I had mobility issues?
Otherwise we loved the hotel and would give it a try again. However I will be more specific with my questions in the future.
Located in the heart of the old Charleston peninsula. Excellent staff customer service - they go out of their way to help. The rooms are larger than most hotels. Nice roof top pool. Very good roof top restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating, great views and nice menu. They have a Jeep and will take you to restaurants and attractions within a 2 mile radius.
Excellent hotel, well tended and high quality service.

We loved the happy hour. Breakfast was great. We didn’t like that only one elevator worked. Took the stairs the majority of the time and it was nice exercise. Elevator was slow as well.
We stayed 4 days at the Restoration and I can honestly say everyone on staff was polite and very accommodating! The room we had, had a full size refrigerator with kitchenette. Very spacious. Every morning we were greeted with a basket of goodies for breakfast example yogurt granola fresh fruit and a croissant was first morning! It was so nice since we had just made it in from a long drive night before. The fridge was stocked with sparking water, soda, fruit juice. Rooms were sound proof only way you knew someone else was there you met them in the elevator. Floor access with key only which was nice safety feature if traveling alone. Roof top restaurant which was nice when you spent day out and wanted to relax and enjoy the view but take elevator back to your cozy room for a great night sleep! Very convenient to king street for shopping and just a short walk to market street. I would HIGHLY recommend The Restoration as a place to stay!!

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at The Restoration and beautiful Charleston. Our room was so comfortable and we especially loved the breakfast basket each morning, the restaurant and bar, the valet and shuttle service and the friendly people! We’re already talking about coming back! Can’t say enough good things about The Restoration!❤️
Wonderful property and very well located close to everything. Lots of extras including food and drink items in fridge, transportation locally if needed and a basket of breakfast each day. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The only issue was some construction noise outside but they even provided ear plugs 😁
Beautiful boutique hotel with a rooftop pool and library sitting area with a fireplace. Quit block within walking distance of King Street and fabulous sops.
Such a great property. Located in a perfect area close to everything. Our Studio King was spacious, it had a full sized refrigerator and microwave. Cute breakfast in a basket every morning. They have a jeep that drove us to our dinner spot. There’s an amazing pool sized hot tub up on the roof. And did I mention warm chocolate chip cookies? We will definitely be staying here again.
Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff! William, Bella, Ethan, Dylan, Joseph (I hope I got that right! He has curly hair), and Shawn were so kind, sweet, and accommodating! Excellent hospitality!! Loved the breakfast baskets!
Everyone just wanted to help you with anything- and I appreciate that- the front desk, the people who worked in the coffee shop, everyone at the restaurant and people who came to clean your room did everything to enjoy my stay- thank you!!🙏

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Took 15 minutes to get car from valet. Trash can full from previous guests. Hair in bathroom drawer from previous guests. Poor house-keeping. Did not change sheets.
Breakfast was not good.
We had an awesome stay at this boutique hotel. Close to everything. The rooms are awesome being converted apartments.ours was large with tub and walk in shower and a kitchenette. Breakfast was very unique in a picnic basket every morning. They have a Jeep that can take you anywhere downtown. We hated to leave!
We had a fantastic stay at The Restoration, highly recommend. The location is perfect, the rooms are beautiful, clean, well-decorated, and comfortable, and the added amenities (picnic basket breakfasts delivered to your door each morning, a wine and charcuterie happy hour each night, free local drop-offs in their property Jeep) were a special surprise. We will be back!
We had a Studio Suite for 3 nights. The room was nicely furnished and spacious with conveniences like a microwave, refrigerator, and 2 large screen TVs. The hotel provided nice complimentary extras (breakfast delivered to your room, a spa pool, cocktail hour, etc.) and was within walking distance of everything in historic Charleston.
Loved our stay here while visiting our granddaughter at CofC. Room was gorgeous and all staff went above our expectations on southern hospitality. So convenient to shopping and restaurants and they have a wonderful social hour. The Watch restaurant was amazing with a rooftop area!! It was our first visit, but definitely won’t be our last.
