"I chose the hotel because of the lovely grounds and rooms looked nice and we were not disappointed. I requested a ground floor room which was a very good size and so much storage space. Carpets were deep pile and clean as was the whole room. We had a lovely view of the grounds. Bathroom had a good size walk in shower with easy controls and again was very clean. Check-in was very quick, carried out by the lovely, helpful staff. Chap we spoke to was very helpful giving us a sheet of the bus timetables and tours you could take around the island. He asked if we would like the evening meal and told us of the live entertainment held at the hotel. The evening meal was very good with a 2 or 3 course set menu with options for all courses. Breakfast was nice too with fresh fruit, cereals, cold meat selection. Menus for a cooked breakfast was on the table and orders were taken. A toaster is also available. My husband enjoyed his time in the two pools and the grounds were lovely to sit in as there are a lot of tables with some undercover. There is an aviary further down and it was nice hearing the birds. We also saw red squirrels a few minutes after sitting in the grounds from the mature trees that surround the grounds. Everything about the hotel was very nice, from the helpful staff, the entertainment and lovely surroundings made for a nice relaxing holiday and we hope to return next year."
