The boat launch is only 1/2 mile to the public boat launch. The house is 1800 sq feet with new leather furniture which faces the views of the Lake Palestine. Enjoy the large deck facing the water, one side for soaking up the sun and the other side is covered for that southern porch sitting. for catching up with family and friends. Also, a covered area to do your grilling. It was very clean, had big showers, comfortable beds and couches, with a covered deck and dock. The sandy little beach area was perfect to launch my kayaks into and the sand felt so good on our feet and made for excellent swimming and floating around. We made s’mores in the fire pit and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The house was well stocked with all the pans and utensils we needed, just make sure to bring your own salt and pepper. We caught catfish off the dock and really loved the entire experience. Even close to the public boat ramp on a holiday weekend, the lake was not too busy. This house was within 10 minutes of the venue. It was great to be able to run back and forth between the venue and the house.
