The property shares a backyard with the 1 bedroom 1 bath Encanto Casita which is also available to rent. The hosts are located in the area and are available to help if necessary The lodge is just one block away from the Cumbres & Toltec train and downtown Chama making it a quick easy walk to the train station, shops, and restaurants. Seating in the great room was plentiful but uncomfortable. Beds were fairly comfortable. No air but fans in every room and opened windows at night. Comfortable during hottest week of the year. Nice fridge, oven and stove, dishwasher. Tv in great room. Hifi worked well. Saw a bear walking down the street at night. Saw a dear with large antlers downtown. A strip of plug ins would be nice in each room. Difficult to read numbers on the cooking stove. None of the chairs were comfortable. One bedroom had fast water to the shower and the other rooms were very slow. Ample parking, easy access for person using a walker.
