"I chose this room because it had "GREAT 10/10" reviews, it's either AI or low standards. Worst choice in hotels I've ever made and will NOT ever return to that hotel. Brushed my teethand the sink backed up, took a shower & ended up in standing water before I was even done, used the toilet and it flooded and stayed backed up our entire 3 day stay. (I'm on very limited funds & there was a NO REFUND policy, otherwise I would have cancelled the whole stay).The hotel is outdated and smells like it. The door had obviously been kicked in because the security latch and a whole piece of door frame fell on us when we entered the room for the first time. Wood floor board piece wasn't even glued to the wall and just kept falling off. The only good thing about our stay was the AC worked great in the 95 degree weather. "

"Lovely historical building, noisy, uncomfortable bed, coffee and tea , muffins same every day, no napkins, availabe in mezzanine. No refrigerator in rooms or coffee maker. Our room could use some work, broken arm chair, damage to wall. Unique!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this quirky, fun property. We never spoke with anyone, but there was someone available if needed. Everything needed was provided and we enjoyed ourselves. "

"The property grounds are lovely but everything was in need of maintenance and repair. My room smelled like years of stale cigarette smoke. However, It is my understanding that the entire property is currently under a renovation and my room had not yet been renovated. Pool was empty and needed a complete replacement. But because the 16 acres is otherwise so beautiful with a waterfall and stream running through it, I would give it another try in a year or two. "

"Bed was great! Little fridge was full with someone else’s old food that we had to deal with. Annoying light above the front door on ALL NIGHT, probably 7 feet from my head. Hard to sleep with that, no switch to turn it off. Low water pressure in shower. Fridge was too small to hold a 1 liter water bottle and was stuck at 50 degrees. Never got check-in email, so had to call (they were super friendly and helpful). "

"The weird part was to be asked for a deposit in cash. When we went to the office to check out nobody was there. We rang the door bell and nothing. We lost our deposit. Not happy about it."
