"outstanding property ! pictures do not do it justice. Excellent stay, wonderful and gorgeous little town for bird watching, hiking, and some fly fishing. Staff was helpful and friendly. Very large and tasty breakfast with everything from French toast and fruit to Gallo pinto and chicken in salsa. There was a little sports field on the property where were my 9 yr old and I played soccer in between other activities. Room has a large soaking tub with a spa vibe. Truly an amazing place and will be back! "

"We loved our superior forest bungalow overlooking the cloud forest. It was super cozy and very quiet. We were visited by many hummingbirds on our little deck. The restaurant was top notch - very pretty and intimate and the food was amazing. It was a great place for bird watching at breakfast and lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. "

"the property grounds are amazing and the rooms are spacious and clean. However, i would not be back - getting to the property there's a long stretch of a dirt-gravel road in such bad condition that we decided not to go in and out of the property just to avoid this bone-jarring driving expereince"

"The pictures on line are not as beautiful as in person, a very unique property. We loved the house, area and being up in the mountains with the gentle breeze to keep you cool. The daily visit of birds and iguana to the house was a treat. Very clean and well maintained. Lauren, the property manager is wonderful."

"This is a beautiful property with gorgeous views of the ocean and surrounding jungle. The house is fairly new and in great condition. Air conditioning works great for each bedroom, but is not present in the main common area. The house has accordion doors on 3 sides of the common area, which provide great indoor/outdoor flow. I do not recommend using these in the evenings or at night due to the bugs. The surrounding property is beautiful and well kept. The outdoor tub is incredible. The location is excellent, with nearby access to Uvita and several grocery stores. A 4x4 is definitely necessary to access."

"Second time staying in Uvita - this time with our boys, ages 12 and 17. Del's property is a beautiful paradise respite. Do beware, power outages can be a slight hinderance. It's par for the course up in those hills. We had several, mostly in the evening, and lasting a few hours. However, we were not deterred! Candles and a gas grill made all the difference. We were able to cook and clean and enjoy the night time jungle sights (lots of fireflies) and sounds without worry. Adrian, the property manager, lives on site just a stone's throw from the casa. He was always quick to check in and keep us posted. He's also very friendly and courteous and prompt when you need help with anything. We enjoyed walking the property grounds with him and learning more about the area. Additionally, Del was VERY helpful with booking tours for us and checking in to make sure we were enjoying our stay... And, as many others have commented - the road is steep, but with the right vehicle, you won't have any issues. The only regret from our 17 year old son was that he couldn't drive it himself (due to his age and rental car rules). :) Overall, we loved our time there. Pura vida!"
