"I had a wonderful stay at this gated, one-level hotel. The beautiful courtyard and small pool create a relaxing atmosphere, and the entire property is extremely clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious with a nice-sized kitchenette, making it easy to prepare simple meals. The complimentary breakfast was a great bonus, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. "Hotel Casa Colonial is a good boutique hotel in the central section of Managua. If you’re spending some time there and need a centrally located place from which to go on a daylong tour of the city and up to Masaya Volcano or Laguna de Apoyo, it’s really good. The decor is very interesting and they serve a traditional Nicaraguan breakfast each morning. The only drawback I would say is the language barrier was a little difficult to navigate as an American.
