"Room has musty smell. Otherwise, clean and very nice staff."

"Pros: The staff were excellent and very friendly! Cons: The pool was closed for the entire duration of our stay for unknown reasons. The bathroom (specifically around the toilet area) was not as clean as I would have expected. The couch in our room had suspicious-looking stains on it and none of us dared to sit on it."

"Room was dirty, and had roaches. A lot of vagrants and shady people around, loud voices 24 hrs. none stop."

"Everything was adequate. Its a little dated and not super clean (meaning stained carpet) - but honestly we were at another hotel for a conference int he same city and the other hotel was worse (also a Marriott)."

"While affordable, this hotel was not the best. Elevators were slow, so we often used the stairwell, which was quite dirty with clumps of dirt throughout. Would be easy enough to just get someone out there with a broom to clean it up. Breakfast was very disappointing - powdered eggs, no fruit to be seen, and lackluster sausage. Our room wasn't in the best shape either - with the ceiling by the shower looking like it was getting soggy."

"This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! Our room was super comfortable and cozy (loved all the indirect lighting). The shower was incredible! Staff was friendly, and the breakfast offerings were generous and tasty. The location just off 64 in the Greenbrier area was great - plenty of food options and easy access to other parts of the Hampton Roads area."

"DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! CARPET AND BATHROOM OUTSIDE HANDLE HAD RED STAINS RESEMBLING BLOOD. TV IN HOTEL DID NOT HAVE A CLEAR SIGNAL SO THERE WAS NO WATCHING TV. TELEPHONE IN ROOM WAS DIRTY. BATHROOM HAD FLOATING SHELF AND NOT FULL SINK. BED SHEETS WERE STAINED. YOU CAN HEAR OTHER GUESTS' CONVERSATIONS THROUGH THE WALL AND NEXT DOOR GUESTS WERE MAKING LOUD NOISES ALL NIGHT LONG. COMPLAINTS WERE MADE TO HOTEL MANAGEMENT BUT WERE NOT ADDRESSED. TOILET HAD LOW WATER PRESSURE AND IT WOULD NOT FLUSH. AFTER SEEING THE CONDITION OF MY HOTEL ROOM, I HAD NO DESIRE TO UTILIZE THE GYM OR POOL OR OTHER AMENITIES. FUTURE TRAVEL PLANS WILL NOT INCLUDE WINGATE BY WYNDHAM. "
