Old Town Veracruz5 nights4.0 star property8.6/10 - Excellent (1,251 reviews)"I booked this hotel several weeks in advance of my trip, looking forward to another enjoyable stay. Having stayed at this property multiple times over the past few years, I was already familiar with the hotel and had always appreciated its excellent location, beautiful views, and generally welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, this particular visit turned into one of the most disappointing experiences I have had at a hotel, not necessarily because of the maintenance issue we encountered, but..."Reviewed November 3, 2026Roundtrip • Edmonton (YEA) - Veracruz (VER)YEG - VER • 2 stops VER - YEG • 2 stopsCA $1,303CA $969found 14 hours agoper traveller - Veracruz Centro Histórico

Malecon5 nights3.5 star property9.0/10 - Wonderful (1,001 reviews)"Rooms are clean but dated. The staff is excellent and very helpful. The location is excellent as it’s close to the zocalo and Malecón. I’m a retired senior so the pace is perfect. Great food and even found a casino to do some gambling. The pool is small but big enough to exercise. No gym which is why I rated this hotel good and not excellent. A great deal for the price."Reviewed November 4, 2026Roundtrip • Edmonton (YEA) - Veracruz (VER)YEG - VER • 2 stops VER - YEG • 2 stopsCA $1,233CA $929found 14 hours agoper traveller - Emporio Veracruz Hotel

Carrillo Puerto Hotel Deals
"OK"
"The television did not come on, even after I replaced the remote batteries. Every flat surface had cigarette burns on it. Furniture had multiple rips and holes. It's a by the hour flop house on the wrong side of town and doesn't belong in your portfolio."
"Safe parking, super clean and well maintained facilities. Additionally, the included breakfast was not the usual continental breakfast but a delicious made to order chilaquiles with eggs. Would definitely go back to this hotel…👍"

"Did not enjoy at all. Our bathroom smelled like sewage and the tables in the room had stains on them. The pool was dirty the whole time and the towels were all very thin."
