Public boat ramp is adjacent to property, making it easy to launch your boat for the 15 minute ride to both Dog and St. George Islands. Private boat parking is available on property as well. This is truly one of the best values on Timber Island! It could use a thorough cleaning, and modest upgrade, but it's still okay. Some of the electronics didn't work, i.e. hair dryer, bedroom lamp, keurig coffee maker. We left a day early when a storm hit the area. Not the best lodging we ever rented, and not the worst either. I did not like making the initial reservation with Expedia, then having it turned over to VRBO. The location is perfect for fishing since there’s a public ramp right next to it. It’s also good for any stay, the decorations and furniture are great, kitchen is well stocked. We went as a family of 5 (3 kiddos under the age of 7) and it was perfect for us!! The multilevel units allow everyone to have their own privacy (mainly us parents 😜). It was right by the pool/hot tub, so that was easy! It is a 5 minute drive from the nearest Carabelle public beach and there was barely anyone on and about a 20 minute drive to St. George Island! Check out the Korean restaurant down the road for some good waffle ice cream and dinner! The owner was super easy to get in touch with and so kind!!
