Carden Vacation Packages

The positives: Clean bed, linens and overall general upkeep was good. The negatives: Some standard items that I would have expected were missing. There was no full length mirror in the room to double check your outfit before heading out. I also didn't an ironing board or iron but this might be available at the front desk, I didn't ask as I didn't need it. There was no coffee maker or kettle in the room. 2 bottles of water were provided and a mini fridge. The staff mentioned there was a Tims up the road, but I usually make my own coffee, even bringing my own press, but I still need a kettle. Safety: The entry door features a single lock with just a twist knob between you and anyone driving by the highway. No secondary deadbolt or sliding bolt was installed on the main door. As a single female this made me a bit nervous. All in all it wasn't terrible, as a clean bed is my biggest requirement and they fulfilled that, but I wouldn't stay again unless the safety concern was addressed.

Tried to call front desk and no answers. Only one pool and one outside our room was down since 2025 but was not informed. Said it was a sound proof room and people above us moved furniture and kept running or walking till late night. No air condition in restaurant. Waitress on patio had no care that there was no table there. We will not return there. The price we paid was not worth it

The site listed that there is onsite restaurant for breakfast, dinner and snacks . They site also lists that this is unique find because this property offers continental breakfast. None of that is true . The dinner at restaurant- reservation closes at 2pm and it’s an expensive buffet . No breakfast. They had croissants available for pick and go in a paper bag. Not even a comfy place to sit and peacefully eat. Nearest food place is in Huntsville which is 30 mins drive . Such a ridiculous false advertisement for a $450 night property . Such a shame that they advertise but don’t provide continental breakfast

the cabin was OK. Deck and floors could have been Cleaner. Lake was peaceful, but was unhappy about the dock not being accesible for fishing. cabin should have been spayed for spiders and ants.

Kim and Doug were very easy going, almost like family to us. Their home is absolutely gorgeous and the front deck overlooking the Muskoka River was very serene. We will definitely go back soon. We highly recommend this B&B.
