"We had a lovely stay at the hotel! The view of the ocean from the balcony was beautiful. A bit inconvenient to lug suitcases down steps to our room on the 4th floor but we managed because our cases were not heavy. Conveniently located to Oak Island which was our main reason for the visit. Also very convenient to go to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay & Peggy’s Cove. The staff is very friendly. The pool looked very inviting although we did not partake. We would definitely stay here again!!"

"We had such an excellent experience at the August House, we didn't want to leave. The House is gorgeous, and the rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. You can tell a lot of heart, soul, and thought went into making every detail perfect. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were all so kind and happy to chat with us. We would definitely recommend The August House, it's a gem!"

"This was the best experience and rental I've ever experienced! It is a beautiful home with plenty of room for mutli-family or, in our case, a group trip. Waking up to the most amazing scenery is something I will miss. The Solarium was a prime spot to drink coffee, read a book, or watch the sun rise and set. There is a heated indoor pool that can be enjoyed by all. The most impressive - the dining table expands so it can fit easily 14 people. We were able to enjoy dinner together which was incredible.But what I would say is the best part of the trip are the hosts. Melanie and Thomas are quite literally the nicest people. Anything that I had questions on, places to go, where to eat, they had recommendations. They were so communicative from the day we booked (a year ago) to the day we arrived and throughout our stay. I can't wait to come back and experience the land yacht again and see Thomas and Melanie again. :-)"

"the place was cozy, peaceful and has beautiful view. The host explained well the instructions about the hot tub and showed us everything in the cottage. I felt comfortable with the place. Everything was great even after we checked out. We’ll definitely go back :)"

"Very clean well equipped cottage . Would not be enough for a family with kids , not big enough. Great for a couple . I was uncomfortable climbing the rock stairs leading up to the cottage entrance, especially if carrying a load . But I am 76. Afew throws / blankets would be a nice addition . I forgot to bring my own . The surrounding area was pretty being a coastal community. The drive into neighbouring towns was short and very scenic if using the light house rd. We enjoyed our visit to Hubbards."

"We fell in love with this property, everything was lovely. Perfect relaxation with the hot tub at the end of each night. Bed was so comfy and the place is so cute. Could do with some new kitchen utensils but all around its really great. Will definitely come back to nova scotia only if we book here again!"
