It was pretty chilly while we were there so we did not spend as much time on the beach as we may have, but enjoyed exploring the island on a golf cart one day and took a ferry to Cabbage Key too. The owner/manager was helpful in helping me find good companies to use for both! For anyone visiting in better weather, the proximity to the beach cannot be beat and the views of the sunset were stunning. I would definitely stay here again given my overall experience, including how responsive the owner/manager was." Thanks to the owner for making this the only good part of our stay. We spent almost 2,000 for two nights including golf cart rental and were unable to enter any of the restaurants or use the golf course. This is a "South Seas" problem and pretty embarrassing to be told to leave a brand new restaurant because we did not have "wristbands". We were there for a wedding hosted by South Seas and will never stay there again because of their ridiculous policies towards VRBO rentals. We were forced to leave the resort just to get a drink at RC Otters where they actually accept cash and credit cards! South Seas is now considered a joke by all of us who stayed there and none of us will ever return." The parking lot was being repaired when we arrived and there were no indications or directions for parking provided. A very rude man came up to the car and told us we couldn’t park there. He asked WHO were we staying with and told us if we drove there again our car would be removed. He finally told us to park in the lot on the other side of the pickleball courts. Having an infant with us made for a very long haul to get all of our unloading done.Other than the less than welcoming introduction, it’s a beautiful place to stay and a great area."
