"Nice location on the outskirts of the City but easily walkable into the centre. Room was small but adequate and clean. Overall good value for money and free parking was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again."

Good location, walkable to Canterbury Cathedral. Good single room, comfortable bed. Hosts were very friendly and helped me up to my room by carrying my suitcase. Since I was on the top floor, this was much appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful starting with continental choices and then a full cooked meal with several choices on the menu. Very good value for the cost.

This was a beautiful small hotel, 8 rooms over a pub in the centre of town. Each room is different but mine (room 5) was amazing. Large bedroom and a spa line bathroom with a tub that would be perfect for wine and a bubble bath and a separate rainfall shower.
Breakfast was included with a good sized menu.
All the staff was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, so you are carrying your luggage up and down a lot of stairs, but the staff always jump in to help.

I’m not one of those North Americans who whinge about small or irregular rooms - given the age of this property (almost 500 yrs old?), my little room at the very top of the building under the eaves had everything I needed - a comfortable twin bed, access to 2 shared bathrooms on my floor (modern fittings & finishes & always kept clean), & a beautiful view of the Old Butter Market square. My room was cleaned/tidied/supplied daily. Canterbury Cathedral was directly behind the hotel- talk about...

clean central quiet hotel. it had a really great full English breakfast .before I get to Canterbury I would google the directions to the hotel and have a pretty good map.the streets are old and winding. i had to ask directions a few times. I used Canterbury as a base for visiting nearby town like sandwich (really nice) deal (ok) and dover. get a day bus pass . for 6 1/2 pounds unlimited travel you can ride to these towns and get a nice view of the countryside as well.

This was a comfortable older hotel that was walking distance to Canterbury Cathedral and so much more. I would be happy to recommend this hotel! Just one caveat - there is no elevator! We also enjoyed our meals there!

Well equipped room, very good condition, comfy bed & pillows, excellent full-English breakfast. Unfortunately I couldn't connect to the Internet & upon examination, the owner determined the building's modem was the problem. I was very sceptical when I was told that he'd get the IT Guy to come & look at it - considering it was Sunday & the next day Monday was a stat holiday. But lo & behold, an hour later, I was told problem fixed & yes the repair man had made a service call.

This is a lovely hotel to stay in, my room had a canopy bed and fireplace, huge with high ceilings. Nice and walkable to the Cathedral. Breakfast offered lotsof choice and good food.
