"I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Gaivota in Ponta Delgada. My room was spacious, bright and very quiet, which made it a perfect place to relax after a day exploring São Miguel. The kitchenette had everything I needed for a short stay. The breakfasts were exceptional, with a great choice and everything fresh and well presented. The room was always kept very clean, and all the hotel staff were polite, friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is also excellent, right on the seafront and within easy walking distance of the centre of Ponta Delgada. I felt very comfortable here and would happily stay again. Highly recommended!"

"This hotel was such a surprise! We had an unexpected layover in the Azores, and booked this hotel at the last minute. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with cold towels (it was summer) and were amazed by the beautiful property. We were also also mindblown by the handwritten welcome card and the fruit basket. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We could not believe that such a first class breakfast was included in our stay. Chefs that are ready to take your order, buffets of protein, fruits, cheeses, pastries and so much more. This stay was absolutely incredible!"

"The staff at this hotel were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic and the rooftop pool is the highlight! Some of the hotel is dated but they keep it very clean! There is some minor road and street noise, so if you're a light sleeper you may want to keep that in mind, but I would return here again! Overall, excellent value and the location is perfect."

"The apartment living was great, it’s in a good location too for doing a lot of activities. Two pools which was great if weather wasn’t the best. Only downside was the “buffet dinner” we went to- it was terrible and way overpriced. I wish we never went and saved our money as all the other restaurants nearby was cheaper and way better"
