We stayed overnight to attend a breakfast function. The rooms were fresh & clean- good supply of tea/coffee/biscuits. The decor was pleasing & it was lovely & quiet- also central to the city. Thankyou

Having to only travel from Jindabyne we arrived pretty early and the lovely young lady couldn't have been more helpful organizing our early book in. We also liked the amenities provided.

Our second stay at Rex, abd whike the hotel is lovely, it is the staff who really make this a standout for us. Ingrid on the front desk was very helpful and welcomed us warmly after we arrived, we also were able to book a table in the bar for a quick drink. The bar staff and bar manager on duty (Saturday 25th Feb) Were helpful and went out of their way to get us a table in the howling moon bar - even though it was busy - the beers and cocktails were very good. Finally the room service & late kitchen team were amazing, and prepared us room service, even though we were a bit late ordering. Superb service, warm & friendly staff and well worth the money.

Older building that’s been refurbished. Balcony suite but the balcony blocks the view! Good dining options, a brewery etc. a block away, easy parking, swimming pool was nice.

I appreciated the staff changing our room when the first had very poor phone reception. We had the loveliest staff member, I think her name was Elise, she was friendly, bright and nothing was too much trouble. She made our day.

I only stayed for one night. Staff was helpful. Hotel was quite. But is quite old. The worst part is the air con is right about the head on the bed. . I had to wear a hood jacket to sleep to cover my head. It gets hot and cold in the room. It was horrible night of sleep. Breakfast has very little selection. Won't be staying again.

Spacious & good quality Russian apartment block
Lovely suite, plenty of room, good condition, great bathroom, comfortable bed & pillows. Very noisy bar(s), poor restaurant and food choice, food quality OK and good value. Hotel is a faceless apartment block on Northbourne Avenue surrounded by corrugated fencing covered in graffiti. Very convenient for a walk into Braddon centre for meals and shopping, albeit a bit rundown. Hotel OK, don't recommend Canberra at all! Would stay in a town outside ACT and visit by car.

Rooms are lovely, Clean and modern. The two upstairs bars are a good place for a drink. The place is a bit too busy on weekends, always hosting functions, which makes the foyer very busy and check in can be difficult or slow. When I checked in I had a security guard watching over me, waiting for me to move my car, even though it was the hotel staff that I was waiting on. Didn't really appreciate this.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay
Our stay at the Canberra Rex Hotel was a enjoyable experience The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived till we picked up our bags from storage when it was time to travel to the airport. Th room was spacious, nice Biactus with the tea/coffee supplied. The bathroom was importantly very clean and also spacious, whilst the king sized bed was firm but very comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to use the Rex again as our base when in Canberra as the light rail stop is literally across from the hotel entrance and a 3 minute ride to the city with only one stop between th start and end of our journey.

Bed was rather hard for my husband who has chronic back condition so it would have been good if you could have provided additional support eg. memory foam support? As such, we’re not likely to book this hotel.
