The location was excellent and the suite itself was fun and packed with all the things needed for a great stay. The host was very responsive. However it wasn’t clear from the listing that the suite was on the second floor with no elevator. This should be presented right up front particularly for those with disabilities or difficulty lifting bags up two flights of stairs. It only became apparent when the check-in instructions were sent after there was no refund. Second the location was very noisy. Train tracks are quite close and could be heard throughout the night. If you’re a heavy sleeper shouldn’t be much of an issue but if not it could be disruptive. ##### Vaughn N. Walking distance to The Confluence Center and all of the town’s shops and eateries. The bus stop to Calgary center is across the street! Perfect location.The apartment is spacious and clean with everything you need including a washer and dryer.Couple of drawbacks include the heat and air conditioning. The heat cannot be managed in the unit and we noticed it came on quite a bit when it was already warm. The AC is portable and while it worked, it fought against the heat at times. Minor issue.There are 26 stairs to get up to the second floor which may be difficult for some people especially with luggage.Otherwise, the place is great and the location and price cannot be beat! Beyond the location, I loved how well decorated and convenient everything was in the apartment. From check-in to checkout I was able to reach the host, who were quite helpful. It was also a lucky coincidence that this place is only a few blocks from Smithbilt hats, which I’ve always wanted to own one and didn’t have to go far to get one. Responsive management. There's no thermostat, 100 yr old bldg heat registers can't be turned completely off. Had to use the window A/C in October, which felt weird but manageable. The condo is not right in downtown, but close enough to easily walk. It is also basically by the junction of the Elbow and Bow rivers, with parks and trails all around.
