"This was a first for us, to stay on a farm. We always go to the coast. What a fabulous change of pace! The farmhouse is charming and very comfortable. It is so much fun feeding the chickens, geese, and turkeys that roam all around freely. And the African tortoise is huge. Kris, the host is wonderful and friendly. Will we stay here again? In a heartbeat. And we will recommend this wonderful home to our friends."

"The Retreat was exactly as pictured/described and was the perfect accommodations for our weekend girls trip. We came up to Los Olivos via LAX, traveling from the east coast. "This little guest house next door to the stables is absolutely adorable and comfortable, very relaxing. The hosts are friendly and generous, the animals are very quiet. Our only complaint is the television reception. It did not stay up for more than five minutes at a time. Got plenty of reading in."

Wine tasting is just down road. While tasting, enjoy a picnic from Los Olivos Grocery. Looking forward to returning!"

"This is the best short term rental that we have stayed in yet! Very relaxing Santa Ynez ranch location, quiet and peaceful! The hosts were wonderful to work with and attentive to our stay. Enjoyed watching the local farmers tend the vineyards right outside the doors of "The Cottage", watching the ducks swim around the pond, and friendly greetings from the owners dogs. The place was exceptionally clean and the furnishings comfortable. Perfect getaway place from the hustle and bustle of the city."

"We had a wonderful stay celebrating a family member's 30th birthday. The house had everything we needed on a rainy weekend - cozy sofa, game room, well-equipped kitchen and incredible views. It is close enough to wineries and the cute towns of Los Olivos, Santa Ynez and Solvang while still feeling like you are out in the countryside. The beds were comfy and the entire house was spotless. Highly recommend!"

"Stayed for one night and was really impressed on the cleanliness of the room. The pool area was also really nice as well. Got to enjoy some quality time under the sun. The only thing that I noticed was the food court. Not too many options at night. There were only two open that night. Besides that I had a great stay. "
