The only issues we had during our stay was the shower drain did not work properly and we had to turn the water off and on while we were showering and the light bulb in the bathroom kept flickering on and off. The staff were very accommodating when we asked for an extra chair. The location was terrific being within walking distance of the Oktagon and across the street from a small park and a great market. And the price was very good.

This is a very basic property. It appears to be a series of mini apartments amongst other people living in the building. The big red flag is the numerous messages that they are not responsible for items in the room. It’s at the front counter and in the rooms. It’s like they need to call it as it happens. The positive is the location is very good. 1 minute to the M1 line

Tiny dirty room. Gross bathroom with black mold everywhere. Barley any light in the room. Would never ever stay there.

The hotel is in central Budapest with really good public transport connections. The hotel staff was rude and the room was very basic with poor cleanliness.

Should’ve picked a different hotel
So when you arrive, a grumpy man greets you at the reception, then make sure you pay attention to how you lock the doors!! I get to my room and see my room number is cut out from cheap paper and taped to my door. It looks like people live in this building. Probably floors 2-5 are residential. I didn’t pay attention to the door locking symposium and I didn’t lock mine right and some random guy just opened my room door while I was in a state of undress! Who just goes around opening doors??? The AC spits out cold air, but the exhaust hose is broken so all of the hot air it produces comes out the back and heats the room up. The shower doesn’t drain well and floods the bathroom, hence the warped flooring outside the bathroom right by the door. The breakfast looks like it was made by a stoned 10 year old (hot dogs for breakfast??). The good thing about it is that it’s close to a metro station.

Unfriendly and rude staff , the guy at the reception looks like i owe him something , rooms from the Stone Age , same towel for the 5 day , hand soap to use as shampoo and body wash etc etc. Breakfast bad , staff specially the server rude rude . Overall -1 even for free would be expensive .

This property is in walking distance to a good few attractions like house of terror 2 min walk heroes square 10 min walk, or the metro is a 2 minute walk which goes to the city centre it stops regular

Worst hotel I’ve ever been in. Many things in the room were broken. And the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. I had to use towels to clean up and then they stopped providing an additional towel so I had to walk around in water. I tried to bring a friend with me into my room and they yelled at me about it and tried to charge extra. The floor was sooooo dirty. Many latches, knobs, or hinges were broken or not functional.

Silver hotel is a hotel that I frequent since 2015. First of all, the location is pretty central. Second, I always find the staff from the hotel and especially from the reception pretty sympathic and I like the room in a typic hungarian building. The breakfast is a huge plus and the view from the breakfast is amazing. A super hotel for having some enjoyable times in Budapest

The building was interesting and typically Hungarian. Our room was basic but clean and sufficient for our purposes. A kettle would have been a good inclusion but as we were next to the restaurant it wasn't too difficult to get our first thing in the morning coffee. Breakfast also very basic and would become a bit boring if we were there for longer than a few days. Otherwise all ok.

This hotel is the top three floors of an apartment building that from the street opens to a large courtyard and has two elevators. The rooms are simple, but clean. There is a safe in the room and a TV with Hungarian stations. The rooms are all different in size and bed configuration, so MY room will not be like YOUR room. Mine had an entryway and bathroom and then a bedroom. The bath had a new shower with good temperature and water pressure. The was liquid soap by the sink but no shampoo or bar soap in the shower, so bring your own. The bed was a little hard, and had the European large flat pillow and a duvet. The windows opened to the courtyard. There was a desk and two "desk" chairs in my room. The internet was free and had a strong signal. This hotel is literally 1/2 block from the Liszt Museum and is across the street from a park that has a farmer's market on Saturday morning. The breakfast was the same both mornings. There were hot dogs and scrambled eggs, cold cuts and cheese, bread (with toaster), cereal, pastries, and coffee, orange and maybe mango juice, and milk. The service and check in was wonderful from the guy who worked during the day and on the first night. The Saturday guy wasn't as pleasant or helpful...and he made those checking in to wait until exactly 2:00 to check in. Two days before, I arrived a little early and the nice guy went ahead and checked me in as the room was ready. I used the luggage storage room. I would stay here again.

bed bugs and mold.
My experience was horrible. There were bed bugs and other bugs all over the place. The place must have had mold because once I walked into the room I got a headache and started Feeling sick. I asked for a refund and they refused to give me a refund. Do not stay here.

It was unclean and the room was super warm. However, the air conditioning machine had a fire warning sign on it and we didn’t want to take the risk. The lock on the door didn’t work. It was super loud and you could hear everything through the walls. Did not stay the night and found a different hotel.

Look for somewhere better!
This hotel is extremely basic. During our stay we didn’t get A decent nights sleep. The room was incredibly hot and stuffy you couldn’t breath even with the window wide open. The room felt unclean. The shower doors didn’t shut properly meaning the bathroom became a pool. The radiator dripped water and no one came to clean/change our room at any point during the 4 day stay.

Nice hotel in nice location
Hotel is a cool building in a nice neighborhood. Very close to a metro station. The room was fine. Could use a little maintenance but i wasn't bothered by anything. Breakfast could of had a bit more variety, but it was decent enough. The front office and the breakfast/cleaning ladies were all nice.
