Very unsafe area crowds of people hanging around outside hostel @ 3am. No locks in room at all despite having a door leading onto street with no lock. Would not return! Stayed in hostel for 1 and a half hours before needing to leave as could not live in these conditions. Only good point was receptionist was lovely.

So bad I didn’t stay for longer than 12 hours and had booked 2 nights Steep stairs and no lift. Reception is in different part of building to accommodation. So have to leave reception and go out of building and around corner. No lift. No hot water in bathroom and no toilet paper. Loud music playing in room all night, loud people screaming outside door all night. Bad smell that lingers. Not recommended.

Wouldn't stay again
It's definitely in a sketchy feeling part of town. The door to the fire escape in our room was not secure - it would lock, but if you shook the door, it came open. There were people outside that weren't working and were just lingering. Lots of steps and narrow staircase. You have to go outside after you check in to get to the door to go up to your room. The shower doesn't have a door and the water got literally everywhere and with no towels, that was not ideal. The bedspreads were yellowed (you know how down or pillows get yellow as they're laundered or used/old). Definitely would not stay there again.

NO ELEVATOR. Imagine carrying a 20kg suitcase up 4 floors. No airconditioning either, so enjoy the hot urban summer drenched in sweat in the middle of the night with 5 other sweating strangers in the same room.

The location is good. Because it is so close to the road and restaurant it is very noisy. I would suggest providing some facilities in the kitchen such as a stove and fridge to help people cook.

Close walking distance to Brussels South
Booked this hostel as it was close distance to Brussels South train station. My hostel room faced the streeet and it was quite loud outside late into the night. There are bars/resturants that attract a lot of people and noise.

The staff was kind enough at check in and held our luggage for us during check out. The hotel fit all of our needs. I would say that the hostel has very steep and narrow stairs. Difficult to manouver up to/from the 4th floor where we stayed, especially with luggage and kids.

Cheap stay
You get what you pay for. It’s a 2 star hostel so nothing fancy. We had a private room, but there were issues with a strong sewage/drain smell in the bathroom. The windows don’t seal properly, so every now and then you’ll feel a slight breeze through the room. The beds were actually quite comfortable. Fine for one night, but probably wouldn’t want to stay any longer.

Hostel had an unpleasant smell as we entered, however the room was satisfactory and the bathroom was quite modern. Staff were helpful, we didn’t interact with them except at check in and check out as that building is separate to the hostel itself however no issues there. We used this hostel for an over night stay and that was all we would have stayed. The bedding looked very old and worn and some beds had hairs on it. The location was ok for travelling perhaps, a 20 minute walk into the centre however there was also a metro close by. Wouldn’t say appropriate for females travelling solo or in small groups as it was a very intimidating /dodgy area to be walking around in especially at night. We found it fine for one night but would reconsider staying elsewhere if we visited Brusses again as the location was off-putting for us.

Not bad for booking the sams day
Main complaint would be the lack of knowing we would be climbing and descending 4 floors in a spiral staircase (81 steps) withiut being informed. There is no elevator available. Upon arrival to the room, it was hot; no AC or fan available. The bathroom is nice, and the staff at the front desk were nice. Glad we at least got a private room out of the deal.

Totally disappointed
Room has no towels, I had to pay €2,00 per towel. Room located at the 4 floor has difficult access to carry the bags up (no lift) and there was no phone to contact the reception, I had very noisy neighbors until 5 in the morning and there was nothing I could do! Toilet doesn’t drain. Hotel public areas are filthy and smelly with cats walking calmly over the reception desk!

Hello, If you have a shared dormitory then you will have to pay for the towel (2 euros) of you can bring yours. In the building that you booked for there was no elevator in the Hostal. There is no phone at the rooms because if we call to the room we will bother the rest of the people who is sleeping but you always can came at the reception or you can call or you can even send an email and we will answer you. The building and the rooms are in a really great condition, if you had any problem you could come at the reception and we could fix the problem but it's looks like you didn't. There is some beautiful and clean cats in the hostel who don't bother any customer. Thank you, Best regards.

Great location and good price for short stay. We booked a private room and bathroom. No elevators, so stairs only. Cleaning staff and lobby staff are friendly. Happy with our choice and what we paid.

Hostel near the center
Hostel located near the center of Brussels and Gare du Midi. Our room was quite small, but if you are just planning to go to sleep it is ok. There are plenty of places nearby to have dinner, even if it's late (some kebab restaurants were open after midnight).

Very cheap and did the job if you just need a place to sleep before going to the station which is just 10min away. The duvet cover I had was not clean. There were hairs from the previous occupants so this was pretty much the worse you could expect. I ended up sleeping without the duvet cover.

Great hostel- Poor neighborhood
Great modern hostel with polite staff. The crowd is a bit strange and it is not in the best area but close enough to the good spots. I would not stay here again but its good for budget travelers. **They have two buildings- one is terrible and one is new so make sure you stay in the one connected to the hotel lobby!**

The night shift staff are the best!
I was having an awful day because my flight was cancelled and I needed a last minute place to stay. The Night shift staff were amazing! They were a very bright light in a very dark day. Super friendly, and helpful. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay that is also clean and safe I would recommend this hostel.

10 mins from main train station. 20 mins from grand place. Right across junction of traffic light. Helpful staff - good customer service. Nice effective heater. Setback no.1 - no phone in the room to call for room service. Setback no. 2 - Room wasn't cleaned on a daily basis! Setback no.3 - no floor towel in the toilet to dry one's feet after showering. Toilet floor was slippery. Setback no.4 - no lifts! Setback no.5 - no TV remote control!
