  • The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Bruges, Belgium. Originally built in the 12th century as the chapel of the residence of the Count of Flanders, the church houses a venerated relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders. Built between 1134 and 1157, it was promoted to minor basilica in 1923. The 12th-century basilica is located in the Burg square and consists of a lower and upper chapel. The lower chapel dedicated to St. Basil the Great is a dark Romanesque structure that remains virtually unchanged. The venerated relic is in the upper chapel, which was rebuilt in the Gothic style during the 16th century and renovated multiple times during the 19th century in Gothic Revival style. Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium, in the northwest of the country. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, such as Amsterdam, it is sometimes referred to as The Venice of the North. Bruges has a significant economic importance thanks to its port and was once one of the world's chief commercial cities. Well located in old Brugge, 5 min from major tourist activities in a quiet area, 25-30 min walk from train station. It was quiet and the breakfast was good.

Best experience in Bruges. Beautiful hotel, in a historic place with great rooms, facilities and excepcional service. The room was way beyond our expectations, we were very happy o stay in such a beautiful place.

Stay wss good however bath shower was very awkward for older guests.also main room was very difficult to turn temperature up so was very cool. Otherwise room was clean and staff very helpful..

This is a newly renovated property less than a 5 minute walk to the main city square (and dining and shopping). The property was beautifully appointed with modern amenities yet maintained its old world charm. I highly recommend Hotel Lucca nestled on a quiet side street yet so accessible to everything. Stay here, you’ll love it!

The hotel is located right in centre of Brugge. Walking distance to everything!!! Bus right across the corner to and from Brugge station. Staff is amical and polite. Super helpful when asked questions. Their breakfast is not to be missed ; prepared with warmth and passion. The building itself is unique. Cleanliness is PERFECT !!!!! Rooms are just like the pictures. I wish to come back to the hotel if I ever comeback !!!!

Super schönes Hotel, gigantisch große, wunderschöne Zimmer, tolle Verbindung von Modern und Altbau. Ist nicht so weit weg von der Innenstadt, trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Das Personal ist super freundlich - und helfen gerne mit dem Gepäck (Aufzug gibt's keinen). Auch die Flure sind super schön eingerichtet und es gibt überall etwas zu entdecken! Definitiv eine Empfehlung

夏休みに家族で滞在しました。とても清潔で、快適なホテルでした。朝食の温かいオムレツが美味しかったです。作って下さったスタッフさんもフレンドリーで良い方でした。 オランダ語全く話せませんが、全て英語でやりとりできたので困りませんでした。部屋はエアコン付き、小さな冷蔵庫があります。シャワー水圧はすごく強いわけではありませんが、問題ありません。 立地もとても良く、マルクト広場まですぐです。今回車で来ましたが、近くに地下駐車場があった点も良かったです。

Hotel ubicado cerca del centro y en zona tranquila donde puedes descansar después de estar todo el día recorriendo la ciudad. El desayuno es excelente y vale la pena pagar el suplemento. Son muy atentos y amables. por contra, creo que los horarios de recepción son muy justos y un hotel que cierre recepción a las 19 h me parece algo justo de tiempo. Tampoco ayuda que no tengan ni idea del español cuando es una región que se habla bastante ( las misas las dan en castellano ) y si, tienen un ingles fluido pero si tu ingles no es bueno, te va a costar comunicarte. por ultimo. señalar que es un hotel SIN ascensor y con escaleras desde nada mas entrar y las del 2º piso son de madera antiguas de peldaños anchos pero pequeños y que si la persona tiene dificultades para subir peldaños, aqui lo puede pasar mal. Si no pueden subir escaleras, mejor escoja otro hotel. destacaría, que el aparato de aire acondicionado está mal ubicado y tira el aire directo hacia la cama, por lo que es muy incomodo dormir recibiendo el aire directo. Por lo demás, todo genial.
