"The Hotel is approx 2 minutes walk from Torquay train station so very convenient . The foyer , entrance dining rooms bar area, swimming pool area are all excellently decorated in a style suitable for the age of the hotel, Th staff were also excellent. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we could use the stairs or lift. The room itself was practical and comfortable , but just a little bit dated compared to some other 4 start hotels of a similar age we have stayed in, as there was no air conditioning it would have been nice to have an electric fan to blow air around the room. In particular, the bathroom whilst functional , in my opinion could do with an update and a complete freshen up .....although it was perfectly usable. I cannot comment on any other room other than mine though and other rooms might have been updated. The bottom line is would i stay there again and the answer is YES. We really enjoyed our stay and the food at breakfast was varied and excellent. "

"The cottage is lovely and was perfect for my sister and I to enjoy a few days in Devon. It’s been sympathetically modernised inside without losing any of its original charm. All was clean, tidy and well maintained. Even with a pub just a few doors down, it’s quiet and we weren’t disturbed at all. There’s a lovely terrace to enjoy the morning/evening sun. Parking was straight forward thanks to clear advice in advance. We loved exploring the local area with such a nice base to come back to. We were lucky with the weather but, even so, you’d enjoy your stay here regardless. We’d definitely recommend this cottage as a cosy and comfortable place to stay at any time of year! Thank you!"
