  • Islander Unit 12 is a bright and comfortable holiday unit in the Islander Holiday Resort, perfectly located right across from Home Beach, which is reached by a short walk along a little beach track. Apt 12 offers a resort-style retreat just a few minutes’ stroll from everything you need — the Straddie Pub, Bowls Club, Straddie Eats, and more.

    Nestled in a spectacular natural setting, kangaroos and their joeys, curlews, kookaburras, and a variety of Straddie birdlife are regular visitors in the gardens and from the balcony. The spacious front balcony is private, with Spanish-style arches framing the vista towards Home Beach, overlooking the pool, beautifully maintained gardens, and recently renewed tennis and basketball courts. The front bedroom and balcony enjoy garden and pool views, while the larger second bedroom and balcony overlook Straddie’s natural bushland surroundings.

    The unit features two air-conditioned bedrooms — the main bedroom with a queen bed, and the second bedroom with a queen and a single bed — all fitted with block-out blinds for a restful night’s sleep. The open living area is equipped with Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and a second shower for added convenience, providing a relaxed space to unwind after a day on the island.

    Guests also enjoy resort-style amenities, including undercover parking, a communal BBQ, a fenced swimming pool, and a tennis/basketball court. With stylish interiors, resort comforts, and effortless access to the beach, Apt 12 offers a relaxed island escape where convenience meets comfort.

    • For those that want to stay connected – NBN WIFI, Smart TV with your streaming apps.
    • So close to the beach you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
    • Large glass doors in every room screened throughout ensures cooling sea breezes and a light bright atmosphere.

Well located but pricey for what it offered. Managed by local real estate office who gave unhelpful advice like BYO toilet paper, teabags and salt and pepper- all these were in fact provided but added to unnecessary costs and hassles in terms of what we needed to bring to the island.

Fantastic place to stay at Straddie!

We love staying at this apartment. We’ve stayed a number of times now. Perfect for a small family. It’s spacious. No fuss. Good location to a nearby coffee shop and the beach. Great pool. Will go back again.

Spacious and well-equipped

Bigger than it looks in the photos! Bright and cosy with a well equipped kitchen and we were surprised by the second shower. The pool area is lovely… the water too cold for though! We had a couple of questions and issues and Jenny and Nick were very helpful.

Lovely unit, needs a few repairs

Reviewer Comments: We had a great time and enjoyed the amenities and location of 12 The Islander; however there were a few maintenance issues that should be rectified. There is no tempering valve on the hot water so the hot water came out absolutely scalding which was really dangerous with little kids (not to mention is actually a legal requirement). The light in the second bedroom did not work at all so we had to use lamps in that room and finally, the amount of water that ended up all over the floor in the main bathroom while showering was quite dangerous. My 17 month old son slipped and hit his head because the floor was so wet and slippery. This was after every shower and the two little floor mats provided just couldn’t adequately absorb the amount of water.

Quiet stunning setting . Everything you need except WiFi and phone reception .

very happy with the place. I should have been told or the ad should say its in a black spot. Ie no phone coverage at all . Aside from that however. I loved it . My daughter however had an uncomfortable bed . Springs in the ribs . Need a new mattress .not really good .if you rent a double room at least have two good beds . Mine was OK. I still give it 5 stars .my daughter said only because of the mattress a 3 room 12 the islander resort .

Great Holiday

Spacious Unit. However, being on 2nd floor it probably needs this to be mentioned. Everything in the unit you would want. Because we were there in February it was extremely hot. Great to have fans and air-con in bedrooms but surely needs one in lounge. Great pool and surrounds well kept.
