"The host was welcoming and helpful. The cottage was well situated for a quiet break but close to a good range of attractions. It was thoughtfully furnished and well equipped with particularly good provision for the dog. We had an anjoyable week."

"The owner Simon was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was ideal as it was quiet yet only a short distance from a B road which gave access to the wonderful scenery of Exmoor. I would thoroughly recommend The Old Mill as a holiday retreat."

"Spent the weekend here with friends for my birthday. Really lovely place, large and spacious...looks better than it did in the pictures. We loved the large kitchen and conservatory. It had all the amenities one would need.
The property managers were very responsive via email and text. Our only let down was that the hot tub had broken down."

"Good Overall
The staff were all very r helpful. The play area for kids was a great surprise. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was much better then I thought so good surprise again.
The only downside is that the changing rooms for the fitness centre definitely needs some TLC. (Broken shower (as in the tap handle has completely fallen off), swimsuit dryer broken etc) but overall I would recommend especially if you are travelling with kids"
"The hotel is a little dated & tired, however, it was clean and the staff helpful & pleasant.
You can look passed decor the room was bright and spacious.
We stayed two nights and unfortunately on the second morning our breakfast was less than satisfactory.
My wife has a gluten intolerance.
The menu is not suitable for a gluten free person. They had no gluten free bread or rolls. No gluten free cereals offered, the menu doesn't state if the sausage or porridge is gluten free. Many of the other items ie Eggs benedict come with a English muffin(not gluten free)
All my wife could eat was fruit & yoghurt.
Also after returning from a day out we went to the bar at 10.40 to find all but one of the shutters up, the lady behind the bar told us it was now closed.
Although, there were still some locals finishing their drinks. The room information states the bar closes at 11.00 and it was a Saturday night.
Its a real shame up to that point we were having a nice stay.
If you are offering a service make sure you meet the customers expectations."
"Single room was ok, bed comfortable. There was a fan and the window opened a couple of inches but it was still hot.
I didn't have cereals and would have had fruit but there was only what looked like tinned peaches or some berries. There were bananas and apples in the fruit bowl.
Bacon, fried eggs, black pudding, sausages, tomatoes, baked beans and mushrooms were under hot plates and were fine apart from the mushrooms which looked very dry"
