Sugar Bay Barbados - All Inclusive

"Overall, I had a nice stay at Sugar Bay Barbados. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a relaxing atmosphere. My room was clean, comfortable, and nicely kept, and the staff were generally pleasant and welcoming. There were, however, a few things that kept the experience from being perfect. The biggest disappointment was the beach. The sand had quite a bit of sargassum washed up along the shoreline, and I think the beach could benefit from more frequent cleaning and maintenance. The beach itself is beautiful, so keeping the shoreline cleaner would make a big difference. The Wi-Fi was also extremely unreliable. The connection was often slow or difficult to use, which was frustrating, especially when trying to stay connected or make plans. As an all-inclusive resort, I also expected a little more variety when it came to the food. The dining options felt somewhat limited, with relatively few choices compared with other all-inclusive resorts. That said, the food that was available was actually very good and flavorful, so the quality was there — I just would have liked more variety. Another minor issue was the strong smell of bug repellent in the elevators. There seemed to be a very potent smell of insect repellent present in the elevators throughout the stay. I understand the need for pest control, especially in a tropical environment, but the smell was quite strong and could be unpleasant when using the elevators. Overall, Sugar Bay is a nice resort."
The Crane Resort

"When I first arrived at the resort I loved all the greenery - the trees it felt like a tropical escape. My room was amazing a junior suite with views of the ocean and inland Barbados. The one glitch was the A/C wasn’t working. I requested a new room and was moved to another building closer to pools and restaurants. The room was comfortable and cool. Everyone I met was polite accommodating and happy to help. I definitely recommend a stay at the Crane if you are looking for a relaxing spot with a chill vibe, good food, nice pools. I am returning at the end of October. Can’t wait!"

"Room was great, clean. Location was great as well, right on the beach and near lots of food places. The only downfall was it was nearly impossible to get clean towels or garbage bags. They say they have 24 hour service but i would have to send multiple messages and it would take up to 48 hours to get a response."

"I love The Crane and the Residences has always been my favourite place to stay on property. No sea view but it feels for private. I bit of a damp smell was in the room but that may be the limestone. Never the less, a lovely stay as usual. Staff are very nice."

"My family and I went down to Barbados for CPL. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and the hotel had a great atmosphere. The service was excellent, and everything exceeded our expectations. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return."
