The kitchenette includes a two-burner hob, sink, fridge, toaster, kettle, cutlery, basic crockery, and cookware. Essentials like tea towels, washing-up supplies, hand soap, and a toilet roll are provided, along with a tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The cabin was absolutely spotless! All the necessities we needed including a little basket of tea coffee and biscuits. The hosts were the most attentive people, going above and beyond. The gents in the bait shop were so helpful in explaining the fishing to us and showed us the ropes. The views were incredible, the trout ponds were fascinating, we took a fishing lesson on our first day and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cafe is super convenient and all the staff were friendly and approachable! Visited Brampton for some excellent food and loved the Lanercost Priory when we visited there. Miltonrigg woods was just 2 minutes drive for a lovely dog walk as well. Could have done with a parasol on the patio when the sun was strongest but our intention was met for a few days of chilling. We stayed as a getaway for my partner’s birthday. The team at Brampton were so accommodating - they set up the celebration package last minute and when I asked about taxis (as we travelled from Newcastle by train), they were kind enough to offer a lift from the station. The cabin itself was so cosy and comfortable, the grounds were really peaceful and it was an amazing break.
