"Such a cute, cosy and well equipped hideaway. Great location for exploring the area. Lovely bedroom with comfortable bed. Extensive collection of reading material to browse and enjoy. The little local store a few paces away had everything needed to stock up and the hotel/ pub The Fleece was perfect for a drink in the evening."

Plenty of pubs to choose from, a great Indian restaurant (Onion Bhaji) and a great walk from Long Melford to Sudbury along the tree lined disused old railway track."

"Lovely old cottage, furnished well with a nice kitchen having everything you need for eating in (except for a sieve or collander). Clay tiles on ground floor make the floor cold so bring slippers in low season. Some very low beams so tall people beware. Couldn't light the gas fire though. Surprised to find slow-moving bees on window sills or on floor each day when returning from day out."

"This is a lovely well appointed cottage, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. It is clearly a period property with low ceilings in most rooms, narrow stairs and a beam in the floor of the main bedroom. All of this adds to its charm but would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. "We booked last minute to get out of the bustle of the city. Suzanne and John were really thoughtful in sharing that there was unexpected roadwork outside the cottage, giving us the opportunity to find another place to stay but we decided to go ahead and are so glad that we did. The cottage is comfortable and quaint with all the amenities you need to relax. The cottage is walking distance to local cafes, restaurants, and bars.
