"Tortuga Cottage"..... Charming & quaint, historic cottage ideally situated just a few steps to the beach AND the bay. This classic cottage was built in 1915 but offers all of today's updated amenities. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a tasteful decor, a great swimming pool and a sea turtle theme.

The gorgeous beach is literally just steps away with easy beach access. Swim in your private pool or take in the sun in your lushly landscaped backyard. The pool and backyard are truly a serene and peaceful spot with a 6 foot privacy fence. During the colder months- the pool may be heated with an additional fee. The spacious pool-side, screened lanai offers extra dining & entertaining spaces.

The kitchen is very nicely appointed and a grill is located next to the pool and lanai. The home offers wireless internet access, flat-screen TVs with a premium cable package & Roku, a portable Bluetooth speaker, and DVD player.

The Bridge Street Clock Tower at the city pier is an Anna Maria Island landmark and sit just steps from the Tortuga Cottage. The tower stands at the foot of the original wooden bridge to the island. Walk to many great restaurants and shops or play mini-golf on this iconic street.

Home sleeps 6. Small pets considered with pet fee. Try to find all of the "turtles" throughout the cottage and grounds! Reserve this adorable, historic cottage today! Pool can be heater per request at $125.00 per week and $500.00 per month during November 1st - May 1st.

Tortuga AMI vacation
This cottage came as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. The pool was a wonderful addition. The location was perfect and quiet. Just a short walk to the beach, shops, dining. We toured the entire island, and that confirmed to us that we were in the best spot. We would definitely come back.

Tortuga Cottage October Stay
Loved it! It's small, but we'd say it's perfect for groups from 2 Adults, up to 2 Adults plus 2 Children. The cottage, the back yard and the pool were all very nice. Super clean, well maintained, and lots of privacy. And the location can't be beat. A 3 to 4 minute walk to Bridge Street, and just a couple of minutes to the beach for sunsets, etc. No closets, so be prepared to improvise a little bit.

Great property
The cottage is small as indicated by past reviews but it was very comfortable for my family of 4 with 2 kids under 5 years old. They were quick to turn on the pool heat for a reasonable fee, the pool was great and the outdoor space was very welcoming. We already booked for next year!

Tortuga Cottage
The location of the cottage was great, as was the pool area. The cottage itself was clean and fairly well stocked, but it was extremely small. It was fine for my wife and myself, but I wouldn't recommend it for more than a couple and maybe one child. The main bedroom was large enough for the bed but not much else. The second was large enough for only the twin bed. We knew there were no closets, but there wasn't much drawer space either. We had trouble with the A/C breaking even though it was repaired in a short period of time. We also had issues with the pool filter/heater. The motor was whining and the heater kept turning on then off for two days straight. We called Mike Norman and were told someone would be out but no one showed. We called the next day and again no one. As I was sitting outside that second day, being a previous pool owner back home, I started thinking about what could be causing the problem. I noticed the water level had dropped down to the bottom of the skimmer. I turned the hose on and added water until the level was high enough and that fixed the problem. Who knows if anyone would have ever shown up to look at the problem. Overall, as I stated earlier my wife and I were okay with the size and loved the location.

Great Cottage stay
Loved our stay! Great space for 2 or 3 thee adults. Since cooler weather, we spent most of our time at the cottage away from the wind on the beach. Was able to soak in some rays abound the beautifully landscaped pool. I was in town for business so driving to/from the cottage was impossible in the afternoons when traffic would back up for miles. if you are able to stay, plan to stay put and not travel in/out of this busy area. Resturants in the area are pretty typical and similar. Being your own food-kitchen stocked with everything you’d need. Love it but wish it was in a quieter area.

A Great Cottage Getaway

Wonderful get away
We enjoyed our stay at Tortuga Cottage. It was just as shown in the description. The home is small but it was perfect for us. We loved the pool and the back porch area and the landscape was beautiful . The home was all stocked with everything we needed. The only complaint that we had was the construction going on. The county was doing some extensive work on the beach and the beach access was closed. We were able to access the beach at 11th street which was a good way down to haul all of our beach gear. We could have driven but didn't want all the sand in our vehicle. I realize that this was out of the realtor's control I only wish they would have made us aware. We received an email the day prior to check in informing us of the construction but in speaking to a local it seems the construction has been going on for months we may have picked another location if we knew.

Review for Tortuga Bradenton Beach Cottage
The cottage is everything as stated in VRBO. Cottage was very clean and equipped with what we needed. The pool and back yard landscape is very nice and beautiful. We enjoyed our time at the cottage. Walking distance to many things and the beach. I recommend staying at the cottage. The only negative is going through the realty company. Their friendliness is not what it could be. Our check in date was Labor Day. There were emails prior to our check in, none stating that they would be closed. Since we had to pick up the keys/code at the realty office, it would have been more efficient if an email was sent stating that they would be closed that day and to pick up the keys/code according to late arrival guidelines.

Very cute cottage
We were having some renovations done to our home in Tampa, and this was a great little getaway to the beach For our family of four. There’s some construction going on in the area that we are unaware of so that’s something to be conscious about in all of Bradenton Beach - be sure to call any owner and ask what’s going on. Otherwise the house is clean, we loved the pool and the lanai, and it’s a half block from the beach. PS there are no closets so don’t bring a lot of things to hang up. That was fine for us because we are socially distancing right now

Construction nightmare
When I arrived at the house I could NOT access the road and had to immediately phone the company , there was no access to the beach from the street as advertised in the listing ! The entire street was dug up and every day from 7 am until 5 pm there were 15 plus workers and equipment working on the small street ! They busted a water line the second day and had to install 2 huge generators the size of vehicles at each end and they ran for the entire stay , as well as the large metal grates they covered the street with so the cars on the main road could drive over them and when they did it sounded like a hammer ALL night long !!!!!!!!! No trash could pick up due to the fact that a garbage truck could not access the road , so we had the previous tenants garbage in the cans plus ours and it plus the flowing smelling water being pumped and flowing down the street created a wonderful aroma for everyone in the street! The pool only gets cleaned once a week and with the street being a dirt road and a construction site , it was dirty when we arrived on Monday , was cleaned on Wednesday ....... dirty again within a few days ! We did not check in until 4 .... I called immediately and they knew about the conditions because she assured me I would have access to the driveway and told me to call if there were any problems Etc... Wednesday morning is when we went to the beach came back at noon to busted water pipes attempted to go to the office but they were closed .... then went in the next day after the generators ran all night ! I showed them photos and videos ! The house would have been wonderful if it wouldn’t have been for all of the construction!

Quaint Cottage
A wonderful property with that Old Florida feel to it. Enjoyed the backyard oasis and the little community of Bridge Street. The beach is only steps away and many fabulous dining spots you can walk to.

our stay at Tortuga was great. My husband loves to fish, so the location was perfect.... steps to the beach, and short walking distance to pier. The cottage had no smoke detectors when we checked in, but an email to the real estate office proved a quick fix to that--2 detectors installed within hours.

Check-in problems
We arrived late on a Sunday afternoon and picked up keys at realty. Arrived at house to find combination lock on front door. No one had bothered to give us a code to get in, so keys were no good for front door. We finally were able to contact property manager who was 40 minutes away and he didn’t know the code either, so he had to make a few phone calls. Finally told us to see if one of the back gates was open. One gate was unlocked. There were three screen doors in back and one was unlocked. Was able to go in that door and unlock back door with key, go through house and open front door. He then called back with the code for the front. All this took about an hour. He was extremely nice and helpful, but this was a problem that was totally unnecessary. Why we weren’t given a code before arrival I have no idea. In spite of this inconvenience, house was great and enjoyed our stay very much. Would stay again now that I know how to get in.😊

Wonderful cottage!
We rented this wonderful cottage for a family vacation with our grandchildren. It is within walking distance to the beach and the pool was the perfect size for our little ones. The cottage is very cute inside and the beds were comfortable. The location is ideal and the neighborhood was quiet. Thank you for sharing Tortuga Cottage with us!
