« We wanted to get away from the heat and we found a great spot for that at Glady Hideaway. Totally shaded and much cooler than out in the sun. We also like to get away from hustle and bustle when we vacation. Glady Hideaway is perfect for that. Small town Elkins nearby had everything we needed: grocery store, gas station, brewery (Big Timber Brewing $5 draft beer!), and coffee shop (Tip Top). « We loved the way they preserved some of the old aesthetics with the new. Such a beautiful hotel. The restaurant was wonderful. We had filets, potato puree as well as the bacon mac and cheese. We especially enjoyed talking with the gal working the front desk. She was so friendly and knew alot about the area. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. She was working the evening of 7/8 and 7/9. « Spotless, cozy cabin with everything you needed. Fire pit, Grill, covered hot tub, store, laundry, picnic table all within steps of the cabin. Super quiet at night with nothing but the beautiful sound of the river just a stone’s throw away. The windowed porch at the entrance was very convenient as well. « gorgeous place up in the woods. you wont see a neighbor or traffic. nice little brook out back with an excellent sound. Front porch rockin' chairs were a favorite. Franklin WV is 4 miles away with a few restaurants and groceries if you care. Kitchen was great and had all the necessary things. turn off all the lights and step outside at night and it is pitch black except for the stars. WIFI was very handy and TV had Samsung streaming apps. »

« Very clean-- nice area to really relax. I just had to get a board to fit across right when you start up the ramp.cause a big hole. I had my special needs son with me so that wasn't safe for him. But everything was excellent. Oh need a handheld shower head. My son sitting on chair and it was very hard to wash him. He is 36. But loved the setup. »
