"Had to get someone on the street to call the place to open the gate . Was given the code over the phone . No signpost to indicate it was the hotel . Looks run down and not a 5 star but a 1 star . No meals on site or a bar . I was told to go to the mall for my dinner but breakfast was offered . "

"Whilst the Guesthouse is a great place and homely, there are three things that need to improve which we did not like: 1) linen was wrong size, we got a single-bed sheet on the double bed in our room + the bed cover had stains that look like blood or bodily fluids in Room 4 where we stayed. "The staff are wonderful, attentive, charming and incredibly helpful. The game drive's were fantastic with the guide brilliantly knowledgeable, patient and excellent at finding animals to view - we saw a pride of lions relaxing after a hunt, giraffes, zebu, antelope, hippos, baboons, naughty monkeys and hundreds and hundreds of elephants. The best part of Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge apart from the staff is the watering hole. We had breakfast and dinner overlooking the watering hole watching families of elephants visit, drink, play and depart as well as many bull elephants exerting their dominance. Absolutely magical. "
