My best friend and I brought our kids into Boston for the weekend and took the train into Salem for a quick day trip. The apartment was close to lots of great food and activities as well as the North Station. A couple things to note - There is a bar across the street that did get rather loud at night and it should be noted that this is a 4th floor walk up and that the steps are pretty steep. We spent one day going one way on the freedom trail then another going the other direction. The city is highly walkable from the apartment location. The food near you is outstanding and worth the stay alone. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is on the 4th floor and not the easiest to get to if you have any reason that might stop you. Living area and kitchen space is tiny with not enough seating for the stated occupancy. You can barely turn around in the bathroom.
