Top Bontida Hotel Reviews

Hampton by Hilton Cluj-Napoca

Hampton by Hilton Cluj-Napoca

8/10 Good
"Hampton by Hilton is a modern, relatively new hotel situated within walking distance from the city center. The room was spacious and clean. The mattress was medium firm. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was adequate. Parking costs 60 RON per night. The only thing I missed was a shoehorn in the room. When I mentioned this at reception they did not bother. All other staff were welcoming and helpful. No restaurant on premises but there is one really close, with decent food and good service. I recommend using taxis throughout Cluj/Kolozsvár; they are really cheap and fast."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bontida?
The best area to stay in Bontida is in the village centre, particularly around the Bánffy Castle estate.

This area is the heart of Bontida, centred around the historic Bánffy Castle, often referred to as "the Versailles of Transylvania." The village itself is small and quiet, with traditional houses and a relaxed pace of life. Staying near the castle means you're right at the main attraction and can easily explore the grounds and surrounding lanes.

For couples seeking a peaceful retreat with a touch of history, staying near Bánffy Castle is perfect. You'll be within easy walking distance of the castle's impressive architecture and its expansive parkland, ideal for leisurely strolls. It's a lovely setting for a quiet holiday away from the hustle and bustle.

Families will also find the village centre appealing due to its quiet nature and proximity to open spaces. Children can enjoy exploring the castle grounds, and the general lack of busy roads makes it a relaxed environment.
When is the best time to go to Bontida?
The best time to go to Bontida is during the spring or autumn months, specifically from May to June or September to October.

These periods offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the village and its surroundings. The natural beauty of Cluj County is particularly striking during these times, with blooming flora in spring and colourful foliage in autumn.

For those interested in outdoor activities like walking or cycling, the milder temperatures make for a much more enjoyable experience.
