Cute Cabin
Bedding was beyond uncomfortable. Washer machine leaked very bad. Zero service. Was on a retention pond and a lake. Game room was disappointing….no darts…pool with 2 pool sticks and only could use one stick. Cabin was cute. No hangers…k have stayed at better places for cheaper. The leaking washer machine was such a nightmare.

Tranquil retreat back to nature.
Had such a great time at this cabin. Saw quite a few deer. It did rain most of our trip but still really enjoyed ourselves. The one day it didn't rain got to enjoy Morganton Point. All the sounds of nature made it so easy to sleep at night. The hot tub was at a perfect temperature. The Cherry Log Mountain was amazing.

We arrived to the cabin at check in with garbage torn up everywhere outside. I contacted the front office to be told they would get it tomorrow as to when I really was upset because it spelt so bad and the worse part was there was bee’s that I am allergic to everywhere they had taken over the whole cabin even my car.i had to video it and send it to them before anything would be done and then they sent someone and hour and a half later to pick it up and left a can of spray that was empty sitting on the rail outside. That was just a small portion of the problems the steps going up into the cabin are rotten and the railing as well someone is going to end up hurt really bad and then what. The bathroom smells of old urine floors were so dirty couldn’t go without shoes. We had friends in another cabin 5 minutes away and it was perfect. They even received calls all along checking to see if everything was good if they needed anything. Definitely won’t be with the ones we were ever again even if there is nowhere else to stay.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time on the phone…
Our hopes were high as we booked this vacation. The pictures were beautiful; the reality - not so much. There was no “lake view” as claimed - more like an oversized puddle that had a short walk through the brush to get there. The deck was rotten with missing boards, and someone had dumped a large amount of trash there by that deck. Garbage bags full of plates and cans were torn up and scattered- we notified the manager of this upon arrival. Then came the race inside trying to avoid the swarm of yellow jackets that had a convenient nest right outside the door. We notified the manager about that as well. In fact, we spoke with the maintenance man so much that we are considering inviting this person to have Thanksgiving with us - he started to feel like one of the family. The inside of the cabin was nice - those pictures were accurate. What you can not tell, however, is how god-awful uncomfortable the furniture is. You cannot sit on the couch without sinking into it, and the same is with the beds - there are large canyons that you will roll into. The chairs at the dining room bar are wobbly and missing screws. The TV in the master bedroom only received 3 channels - not sure what was up with that. It didn’t really matter since the size of the screen is about the same as a computer monitor. I forgot they made tv screens that small. The showers were fine - great water pressure. There is a hot tub - but that did not work - that was our 3rd phone call in order to get that repaired. This did get fixed when we called them about it. There is a pool table - the is only one pool cue - the rest don’t have tips. The yellow jackets returned and our last day was spent on the phone with management while trying to rid the cabin of them and then trying to leave without getting stung or letting more into the house. We located the Yellow jacket nest behind the door frame. Mystery solved! Overall, I would say that this is nice place to stay at if you don’t mind dealing with a series of inconveniences. I will also say that management was very responsive in dealing with these problems (except for the trash - that never got cleaned up). But, these are not problems that should be occurring - things should be in working order.

I would highly recommend staying at Cherry Log Mountain! It has all of the amenities of a standard cabin, hot tub, grill, gameroom, full kitchen, but the best part is you can bring up to 4 dogs! No size or breed restrictions! Just outside Blue Ridge, GA. Less than 1-1/2 hours from Cleveland, TN.

Great Mountain Cabin Escape

Indian Rock needs new Furniture and Beds
The cabin was easy to check into and it was very nice and clean. The location of the property was great and somewhat secluded. The only thing that was not great was the couch was totally worn out with no cushioning and the beds were the same. We had trouble sleeping because we kept rolling to the middle of the bed. The stairways outside the cabin were a little worrisome due to being infested with termites for they were a little wobbly. Other than those issues it was great 👍!!

All was wonderful! Had everything we needed and lots to do. Only thing the king size bed mattress has a dip in it and it was very uncomfortable, and so was the living room couch. Both need to be replaced

The cabin was very nice. The property was easy to find on the GPS. The area was very quiet and in the middle of some very nice hiking. It was a very short ride to Blue Ridge.

Cherry Log cabin vacation
It was easy. Property was nice well equipped with most things to make it enjoyable. Two suggestions-wish there was an iron/ironing board. The screen door could use some rubber padding so if it closes quickly it doesn’t sound like a gun going off.

Great cabin stay
First off the property when we arrived was great it was in a good location there were other cabins around however it still felt pretty isolated. The inside of the cabin with clean and everything worked well is it a good location lots of things today in the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking to stay for a few days in that area to check it out.

I enjoyed the cabin it was roomy, nice and comfortable. My only disappointment is there some kind of water pump system on the street outside so when you’re sitting by the fire trying to enjoy the quiet you hear a thumping noise from. And the only reason I didn’t give it five stars was that and also the fact that there really is no view it is strictly wooded. Also would’ve been helpful to have a cutting board so I could chop vegetables or something when preparing dinner. Overall this isn’t giving it a bad review just my observations. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay

Really nice cabin, exactly as advertised.
We really enjoyed our stay there. The hotub was nice. Didn't really use the game room but it looked great. Cabin was clean and beautiful. Beds were very comfortable, living room furniture not so much very old and worn out. Scenery was gorgeous more than expected. Overall experience I would give it 4.5 stars and will definitely be using VRBO for future vacation rentals

This place worked perfectly for our family for a few days’ getaway. The cabin was clean and we enjoyed the hot tub, game room, and walking up to the pond to fish. It was also nice to be right along the BMT hiking trail. Everything about the cabin is as advertised - we would stay again.

Enjoyed our stay. Great cabin and trail. Our 4 yr old enjoyed the creek. Met hikers walking the trail. We like hiking. Enjoyed the hot tub. Close to water falls. Sea creek was great. Would recommend removing the pool table, it takes up to much room, angles to play pool doesn't work. Overall we would stay again. We really like the area for what we like to do.

We had a wonderful time.
The cabin us worth 5 stars, no question about it. The table in the living room was a bit wobbly, but usable. The pool table was a bit tight as far as room around it. Would definitely rent again though, it was a great trip.

Overall, it was a good experience. There were just a few things that needed attention.
We did enjoy it, but the game room needed work. The pool sticks didn’t have tips, the ping pong paddles were messed up, the net wasn’t even on the table and the foosball table was broken when we arrived. We didn’t know you would have to walk outside around the house to gain access to the game room. But, overall it was a nice cabin. Very clean and in a nice spot.

Very relaxing. Lights on porch were out and fireplace didn’t work. Maintenance came day after we arrived to replace bulbs and lite the fire. No ice maker and not many eating utensils. Game room access outside with no heat

Loved the location and the house but unfortunately while we were there the gas log fireplace was not
Loved the location, the house and the connection to the Benton-Mccay trail. It’s a perfect house for a family of 4-5 including the family dog (s). Unfortunately the gas log fireplace was not in working order while we were there and I would have really enjoyed using it. We did call about it being looked at but I guess since we were only there for two nights no one came to check it out.

Good stay! Beautiful property! Needs a few extrass.
The property rental was easy, property was nice but needed a few extras in the kitchen. A step broke through going to cabin and we are not large people. Also step to the fire Pit about ready to break. One of dining chairs was broken. Shower/tub combo. No way to turn on shower. A multi surface cleaner would be nice to clean up after ourselves. The game room was dirty, and window were left unlocked and the goose ball table was miss-represented it was a tiny table top

Overall great just a couple kinks
1st night frig wouldn't cool and was making a weird noise. The next day it started cooling, however maintenence called in the morning to follow up. The couch had a musty smell. It got to the point, i stopped sitting on it. I eventually put a towel on it to mask the smell One more recommendation, we couldn't figure out how to work the fire place. I recommend having clearer instructions. Outside of that great location, nice size cabin, pretty clean.

The cabin was very nice had a great stay.thank you..things were a little dusty and some of the cups and dishes were greasy..also aboutsix or seven slats missing in master bedroom..so made very uncomfortable at night..

Cute cabin
The online pictures matched what the cabin actually looks like and it was just as I excepted. The game room is on the lower level, you need to go outside to access it. Didn’t realize the cabin is located on one of the main roads for the development. There was a lot of traffic on Saturday morning. Otherwise it was a great weekend get away.

The property was OK, but the agence was much less than desired. VRBO was selected because I expected to deal with the owner, but it was an agency that knew nothing about the property. Because of this experience, we'll not use VRBO again.

Family long weekend
Went on the trip so our family could get away and be outdoors but without crowds and lots of people. This was perfect. Beautiful cabin. Beautiful area. Great trails. Great time. Well worth the trip. Would love to come back. Only suggestion...post a number or specific directions in the event the internet is out. (Unfortunately, due to a meeting, we needed it) The posted note on the fridge is misleading as it refers to the router. We searched high and low for the said router. After not finding it, we called the contact # provided with our check in instructions and they provided us with steps to get to the router which was in a locked area. So.... again, post specific instructions or provide immediate # to call. Take out the guess work. Other than that one issue that was resolved it was a perfect vacation.

Cabin in the woods
This cabin in Cherry Log and is deep in the woods. The front porch view is of a beautiful woods and a bit of a pond. The road is very close to cabin but it is gravel and not much traffic so it didn't bother us at all. Especially since you have to drive slow around curves on gravel. Nice hikes nearby through the Benton Mackay trail.
