Perfect location to whatever you're desiring to do in town and if its further then it's just a short bus ride to anywhere... I've never met Kinder people in my life and never felt so welcome somewhere! I wish I could give it 1000 stars... thank y'all so much ❤"

"We only stayed 2 nights. It was cool and raining so we stayed inside mostly. Good location. The room and property was clean. The bed was comfortable. Loved the shower! Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not get to try the breakfast but it looked nice and had a variety of options to choose from. Will definitely choose this hotel for our next visit."

"This was our first time staying and it was a great experience. So close to town that we walked every time we went. They have a cute coffee/ bar right on premises and even had live music. Room was nice and clean and the little pantry area for snacks, coffee etc was a nice touch. Everything about the property was well thought out and it is very cozy. The staff were all super friendly and we would def stay again. Also had a pizza truck on premises that we didn’t try but they were usually busy. Great old school soft serve ice cream right across street as well. Book this place!"

"Maria and Tony were some of best hosts that we have ever had. The communication was easy and very responsive. The location is wonderful along with the very comfortable cottage. We especially enjoyed relaxing on both the front porch and screened in back porch with a swing. Everything was well equipped along with having the charcoal grill was a plus. We were celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary which made the time at the mountain cottage extra special."

"This cabin was perfect! It’s private and the natural setting around it is idyllic. Be warned: the paved drive up is STEEP!! But we made it up and had room to turn around at the top even in our huge SUV towing a 5x10 trailer. We baked coffee cake muffins, made breakfasts and dinners here, hung out and watched FIFA World Cup games, talked, laughed, and slept well in our cozy comfy beds. We were within easy access of the town and really enjoyed the antique and craft stores. Fresh Woodfired Pizza and Pasta had excellent pesto and good gluten free options. Cuban Cousins was SPECTACULAR Cuban food (and my husband is from Miami so we KNOW Cuban food!) (they also took care to have good gluten free options).Highly recommend this home and town."

"This is a perfect stay for just a few nights. Simple breakfast with options, and necessities for purchase if you forget something. Staff was average, and rooms are quite small, with no water pressure. Our room was noticeably damp, and smelled like a wet dog. We would stay again if their one suite was available, and we would limit the stay to 2 nights."

"Gerry is an excellent host! Communication is above par. This was our second stay at Black Mountain Hideaway and it was just as relaxing as last time. The house is nice, clean and very comfortable. We would have used the hot tub but it was 100 so we were already too hot! We look forward to coming back. Thanks again…oh and it was extra cool seeing the bear!"
