"This is a very basic “motel” type of property. Our room overlooked the parking lot with our window directly in front of a parked car We asked to be moved and got a room on the back side facing some greenery but had a passageway for staff hauling noisy laundry carts right outside the window. "We booked a Premium room and we were really happy with it. Large spacious room with four poster style bed, large bathroom with freestanding bath. Classy contemporary decor, good tea/coffee amenities. We booked dinner outside in the garden, great food. Cooked breakfast was included with the room, cooked to order and piping hot. Would recommend and return."

"READ REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING!! I use hotels for business on a weekly basis, this is the worst I have stayed in for some time. Advertised as an executive double with balcony, bar and restaurant. Bar closed, Restaurant closed and apparently, have been for some time. I had to get a taxi to a pub in another village for an evening meal. When asked by the staff and locals where I was staying, I was informed that The Bell has been complained about by a lot of guests who have visited the pub and has a bad reputation locally. Room was in desperate need of an update. En-suite awful, shower was barely a trickle. Balcony turned out to be a fire escape. Such a shame as it could be a really nice place. If I hadn’t of pre-paid the room, I would have left. I even felt compelled to take photos of the room/property, which I have never done before, to show how bad it is, but the site is not allowing me to upload them. £109.50 I paid, I wouldn’t even pay £9.50 to stay again. On a positive, the gentleman who checked me in was very welcoming and polite. "
