"This is a nice place in a beautiful location. If you're going to visit the Gorge, this is the nicest hotel around. They have some cool activities nearby and it's close enough for an easy drive out to the national forest."
Lightwell Hotel & Spa

"We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel had a modern vintage feel that made the experience really nice. We were initially put in a Classic King room, but unfortunately, it had a strong unpleasant smell. We brought it up with the front desk, and they were very accommodating and helped us with a lovely room upgrade. The only other downside was parking, only paid street parking is available - however it isn’t too expensive and it’s free after 6pm-8am. We were only there for one night, so we didn’t get a chance to check out the spa downstairs, but hopefully next time. We enjoyed our stay overall. We definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again."
Carson Hot Springs Resort

"This is a good place to stay. What keeps it from being great is it could use some updating- beds were just okay, soaking rooms could use a deep clean and dusting. Lack of food at the resort is other reason. Pros are the large hot tub with cold plunge (a cracked window would be great because it’s pretty humid in room). The area is so beautiful too- lots of outdoor hiking available nearby."

"Beautiful setting overlooking the Columbia River. Great breakfast in their restaurant next door with tables overlooking the river and railroads. We've stayed here before and will stay again."

"Such a cute comfortable place. Very clean and the hosts were very accommodating. Hot tub was wonderful. Would definitely rebook again if in the area."
Motel 6 The Dalles, OR

"This is a motel six ok? So im rating it against other motels in that price point. Its cheap. It's close to a lot of food and shopping and gas. I was checked in quickly and told that the fromt was staffed 24/7 if I needed ANYTHING. The vending and ice machines looked ckean- fully stocked and functioning and we're all easy to find and use. The property looks well maintained. No serious issues tbat I spotted. It is an older property. Expect an older property. There seemed to always be people in the parking lot? No one bothered us, and we couldn't hear it inside of our room"

"Wonderful stay. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Grounds are lovely with areas that have views of Hood River. Both housekeeping and front desk staff were friendly and professional. Thank you for an enjoyable stay."

"We had a wonderful view of the river and enjoyed our wine on the balcony watching the wind surfers. The room had ample space and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The fridge , microwave and bathroom were all immaculate."
