It was very quiet in our room! Loved it! But the dog in the room next door barked from 7-11am. Ugh. Very clean room and bathroom, super comfortable bed. Staff was amazing!

There's two restaurants/bars within walking distance and ample parking for truck and trailer. Only issue was shower didn't quite work properly and there's not much options for continental breakfast.

Check in was very good but the phone did not work in the room, the remote did not work, there were no lamps so we needed the big lights on all the time, no remote in breakfast area to watch news, no juice, no toast etc. Bad snack item and bad coffee.

A really nice hotel in a rural setting. We were tired from battling the rain and driving on busy roads and this hotel was a wonderful refuge for the night.

The check out fellow was in his pajamas, not friendly. I had to buzz to get in front door after going out to load my car. Sign on soor said ipen at 6 a.m. it was 6:15 a.m. then he came to front desk in pk's. Breakfast was at 6 a.m. they only had coffee and hostess ding dongs and cinannuns. 1/4 of a container of corn flakes and milk. Not any fruit or anything else. Very poor selections.

Breakfast bar was hardly a breakfast. Both juice dispensers were empty. There were no protein entres. Two cold cereals: corn flakes and Raisin Bran and packaged Hostess type sweet pastries were all there was besides coffee. Room had two TV remotes, neither of which was I able to get to work right to access more than a couple of channels. Room did appear to be clean.

Having to make a last minute booking is always a gamble. This one paid off--it was everything I was hoping for and more! Sure there were some things that most hotels would do or have that they didn't (AC wasn't on when we arrived, breakfast was just cereal and Twinkies, shower and shower head were older), but I didn't need all that. I turned the AC on myself and the room was fine after a few minutes,the breakfast was sufficient to get me to another place to eat, and the shower pressure and temperature were amazing. If you can get over expecting the frills of most hotels, while still having a clean and comfortable place to sleep--this is the place for you! If I am ever in the area again and needing a place to sleep, I will DEFINITELY be looking here!

The tv did not work, we could not connect to WiFi, the coffee maker in our room did not work. The supposed continental breakfast consisted of twinkies and bananas. There was cereal but it was so stale you could not eat it.

Very dirty, the bed was old and there were bugs in it that bit us. After returning home, we still had problems with bites on the body of us and our child. I do not recommend this place for rent. The price doesn't match the quality!

The staff were courteous and helpful. Our room had a couple of glitches: the shower fan did not work, and the TV remote did not operate the TV smoothly. The continental breakfast was very modest.

we had no issue with the hotel it was a basic hotel and clean. However I was in the lobby when another guest came up to the Manager about 10pm with some concerns with the room about a badly stained mattress and bad smell. All he wanted was a room change. The manager would not give another room. It was unpleasant to overhear this exchange with the manger digging in his heels. The guest at 10pm gave up and packed up and left. Although our room was good it would make me pause before booking at this hotel in the future.

They say they offer breakfast and don’t have anything to eat and no vending machines or ice machines and they double book many people of the wedding party and not planned very well to be fully booked

Hi, I couldn't verify your reservation so its difficult to track when you stayed here and in which room. I truly apologize if you had the negative experience at our property here in Big Lake. We do have vending and ice machines in hotel and signs are posted all over in lobby. If you would have asked the front desk he/she should have also told you where machines are. We don't over book hotel at all as we know its very difficult for guests to find another hotel at the last moment and that's why we keep 1 or 2 rooms blocked for issues like that. First of all we have few pet friendly rooms and internet site clearly states that there is a pet fee, please contract property before reserving the room. We always encourage guests to let us know if anything is a miss with their room when they check in, so we can address it and not place blame where we shouldn't.
