"The cabin had everything we were looking for: 2 beds, indoor plumbing and a shower to boot! It was nice to have a fridge and a camping stove to heat up food when needed. The area is very peaceful and great to admire the stars. Jim was very nice, even offering to pick up anything we needed when he headed into town. It’s a lovely place to escape from the city and 30 min drive from the west entrance to Big Bend. "

"Casita de Chiles was a perfect home base for our visit to Big Bend. The place was exactly as described and was welcoming, cozy, and comfortable. The views were incredible both day and night. The sunrise over the mountains was a perfect way to start our day. The stargazing in the evening was amazing. We were able to see the Milky Way from right outside the door. The welcome book provided was full of great information about the surrounding area, and the directions provided in advance made finding the barndominium easy, even in the dark. Would definitely stay here again."

"Such a charming, little place with lots of land to explore. The cantina is great for meals any time of day. The night sky is so dark and beautiful when the stars are out. About 1-1.5 hours from all the trailheads in Big Bend. "

"Room was perfect. Very clean and nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable. And it was nice to have a small couch. If you're considering going just realize that there is no cell phone service and no TV. At night we were able to connect our iPad to their WiFi and watch movies."
