Bethel Branch Library Tours and Activities

I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. I am also disappointed in Expedia. Its rating is misleading. This hotel is rated around 3.5 elsewhere, which is a much more accurate reflection of the property. Not clearly disclosed on Expedia is the $150 deposit required at check-in. It's ridiculous. This is not simply putting a credit card on file for incidentals. The hotel charges the full $150 at check-in, in addition to the room you've already prepaid. I've traveled all over the world and have never been charged such an excessive amount up front or treated like a potential criminal just for checking into a hotel. The hotel apparently likes to argue about the "deposit." My bank account shows a $150 debit. We'll see if it reverses in a few days. As other reviewers have said, I'm an extensive traveler, and this is a first. The location is not in the best neighborhood. Is it the hood? Let's just say it's adjacent. The hotel is WAY overpriced on weekends. The parking lot is small, and low-clearance vehicles may have trouble navigating the entrance. The property is run-down and dirty. My room's air conditioner smelled strongly of mildew, the kind of smell that makes you stuffy and cough. And the noise! You can hear everything: hallway noise, thumping cars, sirens, neighbors, and people walking around upstairs all night. This is one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in a long time and i partially blame expedias review rating. Spend your money somewhere else.
