"Bed was more comfortable than average hotel beds! Everything was quite nice for a very good price. The walk to the beach is pretty short but I wish there were clear directions somewhere in the lobby. A set of small things add up to taking off one star: Most things were very clean but the shampoo, conditioner, body wash pumps in the bathroom looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Also, the bathroom fan was just hanging open and it showed a lot of dust up there. The other thing is that even though it was off season and the hotel was definitely not full, they wouldn't give us even 1 extra hour for checkout. I would understand this policy during Summer season but it seemed unnecessarily rigid at this time of year, and made it feel like a lower class place. We appreciated that the room came with a mini fridge without needing to request it. I would stay again as long as they continued to offer a competitive rate. For the likely summertime price bumps, I might err on the side of trying a competitor. "

"The location, right on the boardwalk, is excellent. We had two rooms which turned out to be in the annex across the street. That was an issue because I was having some trouble with my foot and preferred being closer to the breakfast, the lobby, etc. In addition both rooms had complete kitchens but no table or chairs. Not even a desk space for a laptop. This makes no sense and I wish there had been a way to know it before booking. Breakfast was nice and we enjoyed the veranda with the fire pit tables in the evening. The front desk folks were lovely and helpful (even though they couldn't switch rooms for us.) And the ocean, of course, was right out front and that was the whole reason for going there."

"Lovely property with terrific views of marshland, birds, water. We paddled with a provided kayak, biked with furnished bikes, and spent many happy hours on the back deck. Very helpful host, nicely designed house - everything super-clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!"

"The ocean view from this room is spectacular! The unit itself was okay. It had what we needed. It was clean enough, but not super clean. There were a couple of kitchen cabinets that would not stay shut and they just hang wide open. There was un-repaired ceiling damage in the living room. Just a few things like that, that made this rental just okay. Also, keep in mind that no linens are included and you have to pay 20 per person for Sea Colony passes, whether you plan to use them (for amenities) or not.The host was very kind and very responsive."

"The location was perfect. The host was very nice, available and very responsive when answering questions, the house was fully stocked with necessities, the bathrooms could have been a little cleaner, the furniture in the rooms were a quite dusty, the trash cans needed lids to keep the crows and other critters out, we had to go out several times to clean up outside property, because the crows were tearing into the trash bags. After a few days going up and down the steps to eat together and to cook a full meal got to be a bit much, but overall the property was big enough and spacious enough accommodate our needs, the location couldn't have been any better. We agreeded that we would rent again, providing the cleaning was done better, if there were screen doors and lids for the trashcans. The location and property was on point, it was easy access to everywhere we needed or wanted to go. "

"Terrific house - spacious, clean, well-appointed and exactly as advertised. Our group of 16 had plenty of space in bedrooms and common areas and enjoyed the many amenities (foosball, pool table, big grill). And it is just two blocks to the sand... Will happily return."
